Just wanted to let all of you in the NE know that I send positive thoughts and prayers you don't lose power and you all stay safe!

I hope no one needs to travel and you can stay home until it passes. Let us know you are okay, you are all important!

Stay safe! As a former Long Islander, I know how it get when it is all snow and no way to get things. New York is going to get hit hard so they say. I'll be thinking warm thoughts for everyone in the cold cold East.

As of 5 o'clock this morning we had 14 inches of snow. It is blowing and drifting. All state roads are closed. We have over 2 feet on our deck because of the drifting.

We've got a lot of snow with drifts here in eastern CT, but they're lifting the travel bans on the highways at 2pm and they didn't get nearly as many power outages as they feared (although they say the entire island of Nantucket is without power).

We have officially gotten 21 inches of snow here in our town as of 12:30PM.

I was watching the news and heard about this big snowstorm
we have lots of snow hear to but not like that.
it does get very cold.

Oh well the weather guys got it wrong again..

Still have power but it's very cold. We got a little more snow last night. Total is over 22 inches. Very high drifts and over 3 feet on our deck. We are staying in today. Started a 1500 piece jigsaw puzzle to pass the time. Thank the Lord it was not as bad as predicted! Your prayers worked Ana!

Storm over Yay! Got about 30 inches in all. Unbelievable drifts. Couldn't open back door and a lot of trouble getting front door open. All cleaned out now. Woo Hoo! Driver Ban lifted at midnight. Still no school though. Road is plowed. All's well!

Glad to see that you all have weathered the storm! Be safe when you do go out and take the shoveling a little slowly so you don't hurt yourself. Sorry to say we got, if we are lucky, a couple inches. Strange winter.
