The walkthrough given for the generator doesn't work. I followed the directions in the walkthrough and it did absolutely nothing.
So how do you get the generator to work?

I would try going over the instructions in the walkthrough, step by step, again:

Quote:

Check the generator that Jessalyn was working on.

The aim is to get the ball bearing to enter the hole-shaft at top middle area.

The gates swings several ways depending on the way it is hit.

The first step is to open the gate of the hole-shaft. Then bring the ball bearing to the shaft.

Move the ball using either mouse or keyboard arrows.

There is a reset button at bottom left.

Move: 7 rights, 1 down, 1 left, 5 down, 1 right, 1 up, 1 down (open gate), 1 left, 2 up, 1 right, 1 down, 1 right, 2 down, 4 left, 4 up, 2 left, 3 up, 2 right, 2 left (open gate), 3 down, 2 right, 4 down, 4 right, 2 up, 1 left, 1 up, 1 left, 2 up, 1 right, 2 up, 3 left, down to hole.

There are a lot of moves involved and it is easy to miss a step. wave

I followed the moves exactly for the first part and there is no gate to open. The ball bearing is just left in the middle of the path. I followed 7 rights, 1 down, 1 left, 5 down, 1 right, 1 up, 1 down. There is no gate there to open. And 1 up and 1 down takes you to same spot.

You're asking about the gate. It should be where the tip of the green arror is located.
It should open the gate right of that green arrow tip.
Then continue with the blue arrow.

Sorry, but this still doesn't work. 7 rights, 1 down, 1 left, 5 down, 1 right, 1 up, 1 down does not open a gate. It closes the one you just opened.

And 1 left 2 up 1 rt 1 down 1 rt 2 down 4 left 4 up 2 left 3 up 2 right 2 left you cannot do. There's a wall there that does not move. After doing the first part and going to the above part is not possible. You end up by that wall (no gate) and can't go anywhere else.

And if I go by the picture instead of the step by step moves there is a gate blocking the hole and you can't move down into the hole.

There is a continuation of the first picture. It is posted in the walkthrough.

So from the blue arrowhead of the top picture; tyou open the gate and then go back the way you came through and drop down on the opened hole.
