I have done pretty much everything I can up till now and need to complete whats behind the 9 door area. I have been stuck on the signal light puzzle for 2 days and would like a nudge not the answer to where I might find where Knut hid the clue for this. The only thing I have that might be considered something is the sun rise and sun down TV video and the position of the switch however I can't see the relevance. Does this have something to do with it? If it does is this the only clue? Please be as vague as you want. Since UHS does not have Rhem 4 up yet I would just like a little nudge as I won't look at the walkthrough.

I just found the other clue I was looking for...thanks for listening.

Hi MaG, I started this game about a month ago and had progressed to the black crystal room. I did get past that thanks to you and Mordack and the info on the directions. Unfortunately, I was interrupted for long enough that I forgot how to open the first sets of doors that I had already mastered earlier so I started over.. Now, for some reason I cannot get through the room with the wires on the walls and switches. I did this before ...arggh! I set the switches and hear the little buzzer tones. I thought once that had happened the back door would open. I would really rather not use the WT but think at this point even that won't help me. Sorry to be so long-winded but if you can point me gently in the right direction of thought I would be hugely grateful. Thank you. blush

Lotus777 -- if you're where I think you are, there is actually a link in the walkthrough to a picture that shows the solution.

One confusing thing about RHEM 4 is the N, S, E, W directions. I was continually mixing up East and West (less often mixing up North and South, but even that happened a couple of times). In the room you're in, if I remember correctly, I thought the East West North South directions meant the wall I was facing (the wall with the pipes on it), but it actually referred to the wall behind where I was facing.

If that makes any sense. grin

One thing to try if you don't want to look at the walkthrough, is to imagine that East and West are reversed. If that doesn't work, imagine that all the cardinal directions are reversed and try that.

Thank you Becky. I did try reversing what I was doing as to directions to no avail. It will be a week or more before I can play again as I took my gaming pc in for some upgrading. I may just have to begin all over again! ...But I hope not. I'm sure I'll be back as this promises to be a harder game than this brain can contain, crazy!!

It is a brain-workout, but very satisfying when you figure things out. thumbsup
