Just started playing the game and am stuck. I don't know what the login is or the password in on the computer. I've tried everything and nothing worked. I clicked on the clues at the top and there isn't any. Thanks Richard

I got this from the walkthrough at The Shiva forum. I hope this is the answer. On the computer, type in the password “sharma.” Then check all the emails and ledgers. Then, log off and in clues, drag JDM to Joe DeMarco. This is from another walkthrough: Look in your inventory. The business-card has your email address on it. Now the first part is most of the time your username so try jstone. Yep. That’s a user on this machine. Now for the password click on Hint. If your Jiddish isn’t too good, you can consult your dictionary you’re always carrying in your inventory. A busybody… ah! Yenta.

Richard, 123Pazu has a video walkthrough for The Shivah starting here. This is part one since I don't know where you are in the game but the videos continue. Gil.

Gil thanks it's the same game I downloaded but things are different. I'm at the first part after talking to the cop. I don't have a trash can under the computer like the video shows and no papers next to the pc. I click on clues and there isn't anything there. There isn't any chair in his den either. Richard

I played this game long ago when it was free, Richard, but darned if I remember how to get into the computer. It's been reworked since then but surely that wasn't changed. Let me watch 123Pazu a minute and see if I can recall. I'd hate for you to dump a game you paid for! <g>
Gil.

Okay, keep going after you talk to the cop and the cantor. You'll go back to your desk and try to remember your ID and password. When you're asked for your login, click on the business card in your inventory. You'll see your email address. You are rstone@RavenetNY.com Enter for the login. This may be what threw you. We enter our whole email address now. If it has been changed to reflect that, go back and try your whole email address. Then go back to your inventory for a list of common Yiddish words. Enter for the password. I hope that does it! Gil. Oops! Sorry for stacking!

When you type in your ID, it looks as if it goes straight to your login so there's no need to press Enter on the keyboard. I'm not sure what you mean by 'can't connect to the PC'. You're in there if you can enter your ID. I found an updated video walkthrough for the game. Start at 16.30. It's exactly the same. You only enter for the login and then for the password. Gil.

Well, shoot. A lot of help I was! I'm glad you got into the computer, Richard. This is a fun game, old or not.
