This game was a download and obviously, doesn't come with the disc and booklet to solve the gear puzzle. I have searched for a solution to this online, but can't find one.
Did anyone else have this problem and if so, how do I get around it?

That's the correct puzzle, but the numbers are different. But thanks for finding that, I searched Youtube and never found anything. I will check it out and see if it will help me figure it out.

I was able to figure it out by watching the video. Thanks so much! Now, I have been wandering around the cemetery looking for the crowbar and can't find it anywhere. I wish I could find a really thorough walkthrough. The ones on Gameboomers aren't very detailed. One isn't even complete. Oh well, I'll keep plucking along and see how it goes. Thanks for your help.

Hi Traveler! Your's is the best walkthrough I have found for this game. The place I am stuck at is in the cemetery. It's this part:
"Second Crypt Take the crowbar from the stone coffin. Get Wendy's flash attachment from the vase-table. Go out and enter the building next to the crypt."
I have wandered around forever and cannot find the crowbar or the flash attachment. I went into the second crypt where the stone coffin is, but I don't see anything there. Is there more than one stone coffin? Maybe I haven't found the correct crypt? The one I have found has a vase that a snake comes out of and I got the snake egg, but there is no crowbar or table with flash attachment there.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks so much!

It has been eons since I've played Serpent Moon, Urukat, but I 'think' you may be in the wrong crypt looking for the flash attachment.
This threw me for a while when I was playing the game; I didn't realize there was a path that went straight down.

So, there are 3 crypts: the first one was chained and you had to do the gear puzzle there.

From the first crypt, you go straight downscreen to the second crypt where you find the flash attachment.
The laboratory is next to it.

Go back upscreen to the chained crypt and take the path to the right to find the third crypt where the snake is in the stone coffin with the notebook.

Okay.....I took the path downscreen and there are 3 crypts. The first one on the left is locked. I tried the bolt cutters and keys on it, but it doesn't open. All he says when I click on it, is that "the door is locked". The next crypt is the one with the lab. Then the other one only has a ? when I click on it and won't let me go in. Is there supposed to be someway to unlock the first crypt? Maybe there is a key I haven't found?

Okay...I think that somehow the crypt I can't get in,(the locked one), is the one that was supposed to open when I finished the Gear puzzle. But for some reason, it is still locked. I tried to go back and play the Gear game again, but it doesn't let me. It has already been solved. Such a dilemma! Oh well, I'l keep trying and see if I come up with something.

UPDATE...I went back to a previously loaded game and played the gear puzzle again and this time the crypt door opened. I finally figured it out, thanks to your help. Some kind of glitch I guess.

Frankly, I don't know how you figured the gear puzzle out without the disk and the booklet to look at, Urukat, though I imagine Billy put instructions in the digital game.
