Hi all ..

I am playing -- or trying to play I should say, this game and have run into a SLIDER ( woozy ) that is giving me a hard time !! and the completed picture is right opposite it on the wall !!

If one of you is playing this game, I am asking for HELP !! Does anyone have a Saved Game just past this slider ?

It is a very nice game loaded with puzzles and a LOT of hunting for inventory items. Hard to find ones too !!

I wish there was a bypass button but no luck.

Strategy would help too !

Thank you.

I am not good with sliders at all, partly because for starters I don't have the necessary patience.

Thank you for your help, ob. wave

I checked at Mystery Manor and we don't have a save game there. Hopefully oldbroad's link will help!

Well... I am still trying --- my patience is also very very thin -- especially with sliders. What makes this one worse is that when you try to maneuver, you are not locked into a static screen but you need to mouse around the screen and that makes click selections even harder to control !! It's hard to explain but I often thought I clicked on a tile but the one next to it moved !! This whole game is like that.. you really need to be careful what you are clicking on in a screen.

If it were not for the Slider and that you need look at every pixel in every screen AND use the Crouch Key to do it, it would have been a great game !! But I need to continue and try to complete it regardless.

Thank you for the help and the link Old Broad - I will keep trying.

Hi Oldbroad ..

I did play the first one too... I couldn't finish it , as I recall, because I got way to the end of that game but I needed an item I missed that was in the beginning and I could not go back ! I remember thinking that the designers overlooked the need to go back and find an item. I would have had to start a new game but I had many games I wanted to get started on.

I have worked sliders before by getting the top corners done first and working down... but the issue with this game is that the picture you need to complete is large and you need to move the screen around where you can't fully see the whole picture - then the Gear Icon is not directly on the piece you need to move so you wind up moving a different piece. I just don't have the patience. This makes it very much more difficult and frustrating.

I will try again at least one more time ! thumbsup

Have you tried a video walkthrough or looking at the Steam discussions? I see that the developer said they would include a "reset" button to the slider, though I don't know how that might help.

Maybe play something else and then go back to this game. You know, a longer break.

Thanks, oldbroad. This really does sound like a design flaw in the game as other are complaining about it too.

Yeah, I don't like what sureshot said about the first game either (being dead-ended for missing an item).

I quit at the slider puzzle. It's as difficult to manoeuvre as sureshot describes. When I was playing there was no reset button but due to complaints the developer added one. However, at this time there is no plans to add a skip button. Too bad as it was a great game up until that point.

Actually, there is a video of somebody solving the slider puzzle in the Steam discussion under the "I hate slider puzzles" thread on the second page of the discussion. If you can follow it.

Hi all - I finally was able to complete that Slider.. ( thank you Oldbroad for those links - the YouTube one is a MUST if you are going to play this one ) yes

Here's what I did.... I have two large dual monitors on my PC .. on the left one - I ran the Video walkthrough from YouTube ( it is the complete 100% one ) and on my main monitor I ran the slider from the beginning and watched the Video on left side -

Every time the video moved a tile I Paused it - then I moved my tile to match - Then I hit the Alt Tab keys to Stall the game. Then watched the video for the next move - then matched it - and Stalled the game again.. on and on until the last few moves which were clear at that point.

It was a tedious and time consuming effort but it did get me past this difficult slider !

Well - it's a lousy weather day here in NJ today - so I guess I will pour a drink and continue on ( after lunch of course ) thumbsup

Happy Gaming !

Whatever it take to move on in the game! Hey, it's always 5:00 somewhere, right?

I am so happy to hear that sureshot, as I was getting frustrated for you! Nothing like a puzzle you can't get past to ruin a good game! Sure does sound like a pain in the rump roast though. I don't have a second monitor to do something like that and would be stuck going back and forth minimizing the game I guess. The drink sounds well deserved! yes

Happy to hear you solved it. You have more patience than I. I wait with the hopes that the developer will add a skip button but I think if I was holding my breath I will pass out long before that happens.

A slider is the game stopper #1 for me. I've never ever been able to solve one. I've tried to go through one of those tutorials, but they haven't helped me.
