I had so much trouble with this game that I gave it up for a few weeks but now I have decided to get on with it...no matter how much hair I lose. mad
It's this darn thing with the butterflies...I've found the meadow and seen maybe a couple of butterflies..what I want to know is...is there a certain place you have to stand in order to attract them? I'm tired of entering that meadow and just standing around waiting for them to appear...they seldom do. What am I doing wrong? <img border="0" title="" alt="[Confused]" src="confused.gif" />
Any help would be great appreciated.

Syd is actually the expert in not-catching butterflies! lol

Here is what Mad suggested that she do: "Try and have a butterfly slightly to your left, about head height, and THEN swing that net, Babe"

This won't be a lot of help, but I did find that there were never any butterflies in the right hand side of the field. The only way I found of doing this puzzle was to enter the field, go straight ahead for a little, then wait for the butterfly to show up, then run like crazy until you caught one. It's trial and error and takes forever unless you're lucky enough to catch the purple one which only shows up infrequently. I only managed to catch it once and then forgot to save! So it was a long process of catching 2 and 4 groat ones until I had accumulated over 300 groats.

Once you know where to stand it's quite easy.
It's the hanging about for the purple one that's tedious.

When you DO get a purple one SAVE immediatly as you will then have to be very careful how you approach the butterfly man.Do it wrong and you will lose out big time on the groats.Do it badly and you will be lucky to get a halfway decent sum.Do it well and you will get an enormous amount.
My son annoyed the hell out of me because he got so lucky getting the purple straight away and making three times what I did.Grrr!

Incog.
