I am into this cute little game. I am in the Jungle/Forest and keep finding and killing lots of eels (racking up points I guess) and I am at the Cats Altar have raised up the 6 stoneballs into cat statues with the leather mouse, have clicked on the Mouse statue too, am at the Altar and clicked on it and it says to place something on it - no clue as to what the item is and the mouse and the 6 bones and my jesters wand don't get me any results. The only other thing I have in my 'bag' is my cutlass that I found in the woods. Any ideas as to what I have missed? Have talked to the dog on the sesame cart and he won't give me a ride back to the Dog Fort. Have even given him an extra bone I found but no dice. HELP! please?

Nevermind! I found my own way out of that jungle and am back at the Dog Fort. I think I know what needs to go on that Altar and I don't have it yet.

Betty Lou, just a tip--when you are trying to get what goes on that altar, save first! Then when you get the first one, save again. Keep doing this until you have all you need--it may take several tries for each one...

Hellooooooo again! I am not figuring out how to "leave the sewer to the toy factory" instead of thru the town hall which the door is now blocked. I am in the sewer, standing near the magic carpet, the only 2 ways out of this area are thru the hole in the wall I made or up the stairs/ladder to the town hall door. Can't seem to go anywhere else except to see Darm by using magic carpet. HELP please, how do I find my way from here to the toy factory? and thence outside?
Thanks
Love, Betty Lou

Jenny, just read your email.

Betty Lou, it's been a while since I played this game, but I remember being in the cellar for some time before finding the way back to the Toy Factory. Looked at my notes and think this is it. Climb the stairs, but don't go through the door to the Town Hall. Use your cursor and search to the top right of the stairs and you should find a hole. Click on it and Malcolm will be back in the Toy Factory.

Let me know if this works.

Aha! Your notes are almost correct. Add this to them for future reference. If you click where the up arrow shows up at the top of the stairs you can't avoid going through the door into the Town Hall. It is an automatic thing. But if you click on the hole just to the right of the top of the stairs where the trickle of water is coming from (I thought this was some kind of vessel or tube which the water was flowing through) that IS the hole in the wall to the Toy Factory....Malcolm says "I think I can climb through there" or something like it and automatically does so. HURRAH! and thanks for the tip Jema. Onward and upward, so to speak.

This "cute little game" has turned into an absolute monster....who the heck is the st..id designer of this wonderful Magical Mysterious Forest MAZE? This is NOT FUN anymore!!! I am about ready to throw a 3-year olds temper tantrum....ya know, scream, hold my breath and stomp on the floor then fall down...
All I want is the 10 bones to give Fluffy, get the gems and get the heck off this stupid island... I either need a saved game to get me past this or a step-by-step map of how to accomplish this ugly task. Otherwise I give up, I quit, and this game is TRASH!!! I simply don't care if I get to the end of it or not at this point.
Sorry to be venting....have had enough. uncle, I said Uncle, UNCLE! already

Wow, Betty Lou, don't hold back - tell us how you really feel. laugh Are you tired of Malcolm's mouth yet? I sure was long before this point.

Can't help you with a save game cuz I didn't keep any and the walkthrough I used wasn't specific about how to get from place to place. Just checked the internet and ...

Did you use the Pegasus Potion to return to the Isle of Cats and end up in the inlet where you met the pirates? If so and if you have a save game to take you back to that point, maybe these directions will help:

SPOILER
:
:
:
:
:
:

Pick up the machete and go left, left, left, right (Old Dog Fort), left, left, left, up (Fluffy), collecting bones as you go* - you will need 10. Give Fluffy the bones and he will give you a cheese-making machine. Go right and you'll be at the altar. Go left, use the cheese-making machine on Malcolm and pick up the cheese. Use it on the mouse statue and pick up all the gems. Go back to Fluffy and he will give you a can. Use it on Malcolm to return to Kyrandia.

*If I remember right, some bones can be found at the Old Dog Fort so check there before leaving. Also, you have to use the machete to dig up the bones.

Hope these directions are accurate. wave

Betty Lou, I meant to make a note about one of the directions and didn't before I hit send. When you get to Fluffy with the bones, I thought the altar was to his left rather than right as in the directions. So if going right isn't "right", retrace your steps to Fluffy and go left. wave

Thanks for the help Jema. I will give it a try. Yes I drank the Pegasus Potion, found the machete right away and started picking up bones and dug up several at Dog Fort. Malcolm's mouth? Yeah, he does have a bad one doesn't he? But I find some of it funny (quirky sense of humor that I must have?) and was laughing a lot until I got lost in that darned forest. I think you are right that the altar is to the right of Fluffy as I stumbled onto it once or twice in my aimless wanderings here. Will let you know later how I do and thanks so much. Again, sorry for venting, was ready to 'stomp on something' and figured it was better to 'let off some steam' rather than injure myself in the process. Talk to ya later.
Love, Betty Lou

haha....yeah, but then there is that I have (saved) started all three ways to go and am stuck in the woods on each of them - hohoho...thought I was being 'smart' and maybe sidetracking the woods, just call this a 'triple whammy'! Too smart for my own good? YES! Granddaughter is here for the weekend so I won't get back to this just yet. Today is free admission day to the museums in the Sacto area and we are going to take advantage of it. See ya later!

I'm baaaaack. It worked, got me out of the woods and on to the ending with the bad conscience at my side. Am not ready to face those woods again for the other two endings yet. Soon tho.
Had a great museum day Sat with granddaughter. Then church Sun AM, off to the mall to walk and have lunch, home to pack up her stuff and take her to 'other' grandmas. Then a surprise call from hubbys cousins, wanted to stop by for a short visit on their way home.....great day! Their visit too short, but hope they can come again soon. Miss their shining faces.
On to more games now.
