How do I use the fingerprint kit? So far I've dipped the brush in the black powder, dabbed the brush on the item, put tape on the object to lift the prints, but nothing tells me that I have prints. Do I assume I have them?

Row, when you have a fingerprint, it will show up black on the object after you dust the powder. There isn't any reason to use the tape until you see the black swirls. Maybe you aren't going over the right part of whatever you're trying to print...

I am not getting any prints on anything. I am now looking at the walkthrough and using the kit on all the objects mentioned there. I am not getting any prints anywhere.

Also I when I try to ADD DATA on Sydney, it says INPUT ABORTED when I try to add info. What am I doing wrong here?

Also I cannot get into the Abbe's ofice. I don't get the option to open his window.

Help with any of these three areas would be appreciated.

Row,

I found this in a wt:
Fingerprinting Procedure:

1) Take the brown handled brush.
2) Use the brush on the black powder.
3) Take the brush and dust the object for prints.
4) When you find the print(s), put the brush back and take a piece of tape.
5) Use the tape on the print(s)
6) Use the tape with the print on it on the plastic baggies.
7) If there are more than one print, follow steps 5 and 6 again.
8) You now know how to properly dust for prints.

Hope this bit will show what is missing on the procedure you're doing.

Now I know what I was doing wrong for the kit. I was clicking the powder on the object instead of dragging over it. I now have the prints. Thanks Jenny and MaG. However, I still can't get into the church office. I'm supposed to go through the window, but I don't have an option to open it. Any ideas?

Row,

Such a small detail, swish the brush rather than dab, ha!

Abbe's office - First - be sure you're looking at the correct window to open. It is the small window by the cemetery not by the house. If I remember right it will be on the left side right after you turn the corner facing the house. It will be stuck - be sure to carry the handy dandy posterior lubricant.

Thank you again, MaG. I was trying to break into the window where I got the plant sprayer. I didn't even see the other window before. This is embarrassing since I played GK3 once before and I knew I had done this all before. Memory is short. I'm replaying this game because I never finished it the last time. I never figured I would be stuck on a part I had done before.
