Mary, I assume you're using the picture from the walkthrough here at GameBoomers. I don't remember having any problem here--do you have your display set for the recommended number of colors? Or is there somewhere on your monitor that you can adust the color settings? If all else fails, send me a save and I'll reinstall the game and see if I can figure it out...

Is this the inverted triangle that flashes three colours, which you then have to key into the alien keypad? If it is, you probably need to install the patch for this game - most people can't get through this part without the patch. The patch can be found many places, including Here.

I thought it was the puzzle that looks like a starfish, with about six or seven different colors. But the patch might help that one too.
Just one caution, Mary--some patches will erase your saved games when you install them, so before you download a patch, move your saves into a different folder. After the patch is installed, you can move them back...
