I don't know what to do with that VHS tape I found in the dumpster outside the Quik Mart. Can someone give me a hint?
It won't play in Fatman's VCR...is there something I'm supposed to do with it?

Cynch,

If it doesn't play in the machine - it must be broken - try fixing it then.

Just to save you a lot of the hair-pulling that I went through, Cynch--Mags is right, you need to fix the VCR tape. BUT, you still won't be able to play it--that will come quite a bit later...

Thanks, MaG & Jenny...
I'll look around for something to fix it with...but I'm not sure I want to touch it. That dumpster I retrieved it from was really yucky. eek
And a special thank you for saving me from a hair-pulling session, Jenny. I guess I need to get on with the game and forget that tape for now.
I'm really enjoying this game...I love the old-style graphics. laugh

Ok, you guys...I am at an impasse here. I've tried everything I can think of....
Possible spoiler....

.
.
.I've interacted with the swiss knife--producing the corkscrew, scissor, screwdriver, et. I used the screwdriver on the tape--just because I can.
The cop after numerous donuts...still won't let me past the barricade. I've spent my only 25 cents on a newspaper and read it. I have a test tube that I don't know what to do with.

I feel like such a dummy. Help! Please! blush

in the bat cave you should find some duct tape. I never found the test tube and it isnt in the bat cave. I opened all the drawers and cabinets but no test tubes. I can't take the ones on the shelf. I didn't need the test tube in the demo, but it would be nice to have one.
I tried getting past the barracade by giving the cop lots of donuts to make him sick, but it didn't work. He could eat endless amounts of donuts.

Hi Norma.....
Yeh, I found the duct tape in the Demo...but in that same cabinet (or drawer)in the full game...is the test tube. Now I'm wishing I had the duct tape. Aaargh!!! mad

Hi Cynch,

You mean they don't have the duct tape in the full game? lol It must be somewhere. I think I found the duct tape on the counter to the far right.

Just replayed the beginning of the game and found that the duct tape is between the two books on the counter.
Cute game!!!

That test tube is in the full game--check out the right hand cabinet, I think.

As for what you should do next, try doing some careful reading--for example comic books and the newspaper...

Thanks, Jenny. I should buy the full game so I could pick up that test tube. Does the policeman ever get tired of donuts and leave to get some coffee?

If you think this is a push-over, I'd hate to play a game you classify as "hard"!! eek

Great job, congratulations... thumbsup

Thanks, Jenny...I got some new action from reading the newspaper more carefully...but the comic books didn't seem to help--at least yet.

Ionas...I love your game, even though I am stumbling through it. Like Jenny...I would never classify it as a "pushover". rolleyes
It's just great fun! bravo

Jenny...I read all those comic books and can't relate any of them to the game.
..
.
.
.
.
.
.
."Rocks" are mentioned prominently, but I don't find any in any of the locations.
Question--even if you do everything right (re door buzzer repair, etc)...is it possible to deliver a 'hot' pizza that Eddie will be happy with? I'm getting tired.

Hi again....
Never mind--I figured out the pizza thing. Sorry about the double posting. blush

Time to go back and read those comics again, I guess.

No problem about the double post, Cynch--I just took one of them out. Would have done it sooner, but I've been gone all afternoon.

It isn't something that you read in those comic books that's important. If you want a more direct push, just yell...

Thanks. I tried very hard while making the game not to put any 'filler' puzzles in.

Heh-heh..thanks Jenny--I got that item when I first looked through the comics, but I thought maybe there was something else... blush

I'm on my way now to get some burritos. laugh

Mike...I've got to tell you that this is a really fun game...a "keeper". I love everything about it. Even though I am asking for a lot of help...it's so much fun to have a game that is logical enough for me to play without a walkthrough. Again I LOVE this game! happydance bravo thumbsup
