Chapter 5 I have rubbed him with the purple flower but cannot play the flute to call Crow to get the berries for me did I miss something that triggers the flute playing?

As for Longest Journey - have you tried clicking the flute in the inventory, then choose mouth.

Thanks Mag appreciate the help. Should have figured that out for myself!!! Now I have a problem retrieving the talisman from the compass. I talked to Tan about straying off course, the storm nearing and the dangers of the reef. When the reef conversation is over Tan calls the captain. The arrow is open during the conversations and no action can be taken.

You should be able to take the talisman from the compass. Just move the cursor over the talisman and see if you can TRY to take it. The captain will be the one that will take it.

I dont see the talisman on the compass. I put it there. The inventory chest comes up and I get just the eye not the eye and hand. I move the cursor over it then and April just says : "Tun says it is a compass." After April says "Tun there is something I need to tell you" Tun calls the Captain and he looks at the storm turns around and starts giving orders. Then there is a cutscene and the storm is overhead. After the storm is overhead if I go up on the bridge I cant talk to Tun or the Captain April says they both look busy.

That talisman on the compass is not very clearly shown - be sure that you pixel hunt on the entire compass.

If you're sure you placed the talisman on the compass, you should see the talisman on the compass. Why not go back to a saved game and check. This might even shake something loose to get you through.

I found it!!! I was looking for in on the compass I just happened to see it hanging from the compass. Things like that sure make me feel dumb. I had a problem with the Key for the statues on the Island the key kept going back to where I found it. Happened twice. Will try again to see if this time it will stay in the inventory.

I found the secret you have to click on the hand to get it back in the inventory.

I am at the Security Monitor in the guards room I have rescued Gordon he is waiting for me in the Airlock room. I went back to the monitor and cannot get to the cargo bay. I went to the walkthrough and it says " order the rest guard off duty then the cargo guard to go off duty" yet previously it said only one guard can go off duty at a time. I have told the cargo guard to go off duty and cannot turn left. The light is red at both stations when I click on red light at the rest area it says go off duty and the cargo light turns green. The cargo bay does not stay red. I cannot get them both green at the same time.

they don't both go green at the same time. You have to order one back on duty before you can order the other one off. So you need to pick and choose where you want to go and act accordingly.
