I am attempting to enter the Fortress for the first time. Changing to black, creeping along slipping into cubbyhole. I am wanting to save my progress along the way so I won't have to keep starting at the beginning of the sequence again. I am finding that it doesn't seem to hold. Can a save be done during the process of getting through the hall? Thank you for any information you have on this.

Cherie,

I am not sure that it does. I saved in the cubby hole and when I restarted I was back outside. frown

One thing that finally worked to solve this puzzle - was that when I left the hiding place I didn't bother trying to stand up and just crawled fast to the exit.I slipped right out. Wait for the big lug to clearly pass the cubby - and then go for it. smile

I tried saving my progress thru here too but I ended up back outside when I restored the game. So I don't think you can save while in the tunnel.

You found the same thing I did then. I will try the crawling through to see if its easier. I seem to keep being thrown out of the place, guess I am out of practice on sneaking these days. This is a long game. Which makes it a good entertainment value. Thank you for the response to my questions.Have a great day.
