frown I'm stuck again! It's another slider that has me stumped! I just can't get it! I hate sliders! I tried downloading a saved game but I can't get it load in my save menu. Could someone tell me exactly how to get it into my save games? I feel so stupid but sliders just get me! Help!!

Ha! I checked here before reading my e-mail.

masmirf: First thing you need to do is to locate your game save directory. To do this, do the following...

On WinXP: Start, Search... In the left-hand window, click on All Files and Folders link. Next, type in Slot0.sav in the top line (left-hand window that reads All of part of the file name. Next, hit the search button (left-hand window).

On Win98: I'm going from memory, but I believe it is Start, Find. After, type in Slot0.sav in the window then hit find.

Once the search has found the file, that is where you will need to extract the contents of the .zip file that you downloaded from my walkthrough. If, however, you were unable to come up with the Slot0.sav file from the search, that means that you need to go back into the game, play a little, then save at least once. After, you can exit the game then run another search for Slot0.sav and it should appear.

Finally, you cannot place the .zip file as is into the save directory. You will need to extract the files to where the other .sav files are and, possibly, have to overwrite some of them in order for the game saves to work.

Well, I hope this is enough information to answer your question.

I have one full day before I leave on vacation for a week, so I may not be here to reply if you need further assistance. Also, I will be packing and taking care of some loose ends for most of this last day that I have before I leave. Hopefully someone else can provide assistance in place of me if need be.

Good luck.

Ok. Fanatic's instructions couldn't have been better. The problem is, I still can't get the save to load. I saved his patch to disk. I opened it and it is a zip file. How do I unzip it? You see how computer stupid I am?!? Sorry. I did the search and found the file but I have no idea how to extract the file. Please help. I'm sorry to be such a pain! And have a great vacation, Fanatic!

masmirf,

Are you using WinXP? If so, right click on the zipped folder and choose 'extract'. This will unzip the folder and then place the files as stated by fanatic.

If you have win98, you need to download winZip or other programs that will extract the file.

I have WinXP. Thank you for your info! It worked. After I unzipped it I just drag and dropped it into the data file and it saved. Thank you so much for all your heop! bravo
