I managed to get the ball after a few tries. Where am I supposed to put it ? In the geyser elevator? If I try to click it on the tubing inside the elevator I get the hand icon but the ball won't go in. Help!!!
Thanks,
Susan duh

Yes, it goes in the tube-thing in the geyser elevator. Once you use it, it gets returned to the place where you got it.

Could it be possible that you don't have the unique ball after all... think

If the ball went in my inventory shouldn't it be the right one?

Susan,

Did you get the evidence (memo from Diamond Cutters) at the bookcase? Then be sure that you read it.. You would need that to get to the secret room.

If I remember right the hotspot to click the ball is a little above the tube. Try some other place around that tube to see - the hotspots in this game are very small.

And I'm sure you have the unique ball; I don't think it's possible to take any of the others with you. To be sure, Ariane should look at the ball in inventory, and make a comment about it being unique.

Be sure you don't reset the weighing-pans after the third trial; just pick up the ball and exit the scene with the icon at the top-left.

Also, in the elevator, don't play with the other controls; the lever or the diamond thing.

MaG,
I'll try the saved game first. If that doesn't work _
I'm going to go back to where Ariane arrived at the mine and take it from there again. I could have missed something and not have realized it.What do you think?
I don't think I can do it today so I'll try tomorrow and keep you posted.
If anyone thinks of anything else before then. let me know.
Thanks,
Susan think

The saved game did not work.
I guess I'll go back and start from the beginning of the mines.

Good idea, to start over, Susan. Too bad the saved game didn't work.

Patsy, maybe replaying it will work also.

Linds that happened to me also....I thought I was getting the unique ball also...what happens is that when you click the weights the 3rd time a ball goes into your inventory and it is not the unique ball....look back at my earlier topics and see the solve that someone sent me.

Thanks Paul,
I'll do that before I start over.
Does Ariane say anything when the right ball is in inventory?

Are you sure you have the right ball?
You can take any of the balls in your inventory, and the very one needed has a special comment above it
