Hi and Merry Christmas smile
Snatched a few moments in a Christmas lull, and can't work out the hexagonal tiled floor puzzle - the one inside the big pyramid.
The figures on the floor match some in the royal room, but the sequence eludes me.
Which painting or other objects in the royal room should I be looking at for the clues to this one??

This puzzle is, IMHO, not very well clued.

The stained glass "picture" in the royal room that comes closest to pertaining to this puzzle is the one with two circles near the bottom, each with a hand set at 12:00. Between these two circles is a partial circle that looks like a PacMan "eater" thing with the mouth facing upward. The PacMan-like symbol is overlaid by a triangle -- at the triangle's apex is another smaller circle. Above that is the symbol of a tree.

Hi Becky,
Thanks for that. Looking at my floor picture though, there is more than one possible tree path. Is there a clue in the "clocks" and the PacMan thingy (good description by the way) as to the right one? Or is good old trial and error all there is.

As far as I could tell, good old trial and error has to take over at this point. I can give you hints, but I don't want to over-clue, so here's a series of hints:
Spoiler:

Not all the tree symbols work -- look VERY carefully at the actual structure of the tree in the stained glass window.

Be sure you are working with the floor when the light is on (the figures glow blue

Facing the floor as if you had just walked into the building, start with tiles that are to your right.

You will need to step on ten tiles.

Hi again,
But anyway, what now?? I can't reach what looks like a Relto page on a ledge near some puffing plants, no matter how hard I try. But that won't advance me anyway, unless this page is different to all the others.
I have found several journeys, a stone and a linking book. Plus a cave behind a waterfall, where I turned on some lights and found a wicker thingy I can bump around the lake. Have linked back and forth and also read all about the D'Ni via the stone.
But what to do is beyond me. I am wet through and getting cold. Please help smile

You need to go back to the garden and walk amongst the fireflies there to get them to 'stick' to you. Then walk to lake. But fireflies don't like water so the minute your foot touches the water they will disappear. So you have to use the wicker thingy to make a bridge between the land and the peninsula at the narrowest point. You will have to push it in place. Then go back to get more fireflies and come back and walk over the bridge and go to the side of the waterfall to jump across to the cave behind it. It might help you if you check out MaGs WT.

Its one of those doors that needs a thingy thing.

Hi again,
It seems they don't like jumping either.
Dare I say this is slightly obtuse?
I lucked out on the "sticking" fireflies - I was looking for them and walked among them and then found they followed me. Then it rained and they went away. Then I stepped in the water and they went away, so the water connection was made. So I jumped over the lake and they went away.
Thats when your bridge hint was helpful. And of course I found two more wicker things, so I guess I now build another bridge so I can cross the gap in the cliff.
