That battle nearly killed the whole game for me... until I figured out the right strategy. What you need to do is get as much Body score as possible (by transfer from Mind) and using herbs and potions. If you go back to the villagers, one of the poeple on the left side of the village (as you walk in) is a trader that can help.

Please note, this strategy requires some luck, so it may a few attempts to get it right.

Once you've got this strategy nailed, though, it becomes very useful for the rest of the battles in the game.

I ended up really rather enjoying the game in the end. Good luck.

IIRC, there's a music roll on the table, and a machine with which to play it - that gives you the tune to reproduce. However, I can't remember the actual key strokes required. Sorry.

This is entirely from memory and may be a load of tripe but here goes... use the settings as in the walkthrough as the figures the scientist gives have to be modified by some simple calculations to get the actual required numbers (as in the walkthrough).

The scale on the dials has big marks for 10s and small ones smaller units - but I can't remember if it is
'|'|'|'|' (5s and 10s)
or
'''''''''|'''''''''|'''''''''|''''''''' (1s and 10s)

Either way, persist until you get it right by the walkthrough numbers.

Good luck,
Gremlin

Hi everyone ! thumbsup
I gave up a long time ago at exactly the same spot as Efel, that is in the scientist lab and these gauges!
I just couldn't figure out how to set the numbers since there are absolutely no scale indications whatsoever.

Thanks for this new walkthrough Carlazacchia, I was so glad to see this link that... doesn't work!!! cry
I'm doomed, there's something out there that's stopping me from finishing this game!! laugh

Here is where I've been stuck since 30th October (my last savegame).

Sorry for the small size of the image...

Anybody out there to help me (and Efel of course) on this one??? thanks

By the way Efel, if you read your manual carefully, you can figure these numbers out... The first numbers you have are only percentages...

I think I made the assumption that the m/w type marks were 10s, so the scale goes from 0 at bottom left (as the dials show above) to 60 at bottom right. So, in each case, the needle needs to be between the 12 o'clock and 1 o'clock positions.

Good luck.

Hi!

Just for people like me ( wink efel) who seem to have quite a poor video card, here is the solution to set these 'in'famous levers in the laboratory.

LEVERS

The new year seems to have made me a little more patient and calm therefore, got through this bit without pulling my hair out to much!! laugh

Now, I'm stuck at the end. I've seen the son lying there and I don't know what to do. Where (how?) do I find the password for the control panel? And what do I do with these camera settings??

Thanks for any help!! thumbsup
By the way, the link to the walkthrough GB gives us here doesn't work...

Cheers,
Jacquie

Hi mariotiderj,

I see it's been a month now since your last post, I'm sure you've worked that one out already but just in case (or for anybody else) here is the solution for the weights. Be careful, it's a real spoiler!!

WEIGHTS

You just have to place the weights for the scales to balance (surely you already gathered THAT!! laugh )

Cheers,
Jacquie

Back to Gooka myself, and again stuck!
I'm back to the real world with the captain, after defeating robots in the castle, and I'm probably blind but I can't see any switch to turn, I can't blow the horn and I can't talk to the captain.....what have I done wrong? cry

Sort it out, something went wrong on the computer but I had an autosave and start from where I enter the main room.
I was able to talk to the captain and now I'm fighting the guardian...and dying all the time!
