Dear Boomers,
our new guest column has arrived. This time it was written by the writer and co-designer of Under a Killing Moon, The Pandora Directive and Overseer: Aaron Conners.

The article is called "The Rise, Fall and Resurrection of FMV". I LOVE FMV games so this article really makes me feel very, very good. I think that Aaron did a great job with it so I hope that you will enjoy it as much as I do! smile

I agree with this part of the article:

Quote:
And this is where the real potential of FMV is: the heart of the experience. The emotional resonance. In my opinion, there is no substitute for the human face combined with voice when it comes to emotional impact.

It's going to be intriguing to see what they can do with FMV using the latest software tools.

I figured that if there was a new Tex Murphy game it would be 3D with Chris Jones dubbing the voice. I'm so glad its going to actually be Chris Jones on screen.

One thing, I don't know what these bad FMV games were. I enjoyed everyone I played. Tex Murpy games were the best but I enjoyed others too.
