Just finished ASA: A Space Adventure and I must say...Fantastic!

If you are a fan of a totally mouse driven game...
If you are a fan of first person, solo exploration...
If you are a fan of being dropped into a game world and have to discover everything on your own...
If you are a fan of games that are challenging...
If you are a fan of problem solving on your own...
If you are a fan of a great background score, at times epic movie sounding...
If you are a fan of games where you use your own head and are not led around by the hand...
If you are a fan of Sci-Fi adventures...
If you are a fan of games where you need to make notes and drawings of the things you come across...
If you are a fan of an excellent voice over talent...
If you are a fan of the passion for adventures that Indie developers bring...
If you are a fan of the point & click adventure...
If you are a fan of the Myst, Rhem type series and the like...
If you are a fan of a reasonably price adventure that gave me around 20 hours of enjoyment...
Then you are going to love ASA: A Space Adventure.

Simon has been busy translating the game in French but he will get back with you.

Even if you are only a fan of some of the things listed above, at about $8.22 US (6 Euro) you really can't go wrong.

Hey everyone ! Sorry, it took me some time to come here frown
Looks like Greyfuss enjoyed the game ! I hope you will like it too ! wink

Let me talk of the game, then :

ASA is a Myst-like adventure game, even if it's first a personal experiment. It's a kind of sequel to my short film 2011: A Space Adventure, which received good reviews and was selected by the Vimeo Staff. But I would recommend you don't watch it before playing the game, or it would spoil you !

The game is available on www.aspaceadventure.fr

What is ASA ???
ASA is now a 1st-person slideshow adventure game with 3D graphisms, released on january the 7th.
This is a solo project, and the game was rated 15/20 on the french magazine jeuxvideo.com
Many people could tell you that ASA is very challenging !

English reviews :

http://indiestatik.com/2012/12/24/a-weekend-with-asa-a-space-adventure/

Story :
"You're an astronaut sent to repair an old satellite. You just finished your mission when you notice a mysterious black cube drifting near you. You're totally hypnotized by this thing and suddenly jump in the space, breaking your security cable ! That's crazy, you seem to have forgotten all the dangers here, and when you finally catch this cube... your oxygen is low and you have no way to go back !!!
But strangely, to you, the most important is that you have this Cube in your arms, and that you won't drop it until you're dead ! It now seems so important and fascinating... "

Features :

- visit 9 different environments (6 areas on the main spaceship, 2 planets, 1 satellite)

- benefits of ponctual 360° views for a better immersion.

- the game presents various 3D movies and is rythmed with an original soundtrack by Karreo.

- walk in the steps of another astronaut, who will help you to find your way. Read his diary to find clues and make the storyline evolve.

You can vote for the game on Steam Greenlight :

That's it for the presentation !
I'll be watching the forums and I'll try to answer all of your questions from time to time. So if you have something to say about the game, or if you have issues, don't hesitate to tell it here !

Hope to be reading from you soon !
Simon

The game website has gog.com listed at the bottom. Is this game going to be available on gog?

Yeah probably ! Well, I hope so wink
I've been in touch with GOG since december and they're interested in the game.
They had a problem when trying it the very first time, it's been fixed since, and they're now trying it again, so... Let's hope they accept it !
Yet, it shouldn't be on GOG before the end of february, maybe march or even later.
You can still vote for ASA on gog's wishlist, maybe it can make things faster ? smile
