I thought this game was so innovative and I've never come across another which uses puzzles in a similar way.
Did the developers make other games and are there any other games which use graphics in the puzzles in a similar way?

I recall The Secrets of Da Vinci having a few similar puzzles. The protagonist kept a journal that the player interacted with to solve picture problems, and there was a painting/slider puzzle near the end of the game that closely resembled one in ECHO.

One thing is for sure, those cave paintings kept me going for quite a while trying to make them move in the correct sequence!

The developer was Kheops-Studio. They're not around any more, though the Web archive keeps a copy of their website and game page ***here***.

Echo: Secrets of the Lost Cavern was kind of unique, though you can check some of their other games, like Nostradamus, Secrets of Da Vinci, and Cleopatra for similar puzzles.

One other game which had cave paintings was Atlantis 3. It was interesting how the animals were alive and ran around the cave walls (at least in the original PC version of the game -- they may have been eliminated from the ports to Mac and iPad). Unfortunately you have to shoot them, which was not so fun.

Oh, yes. Now I remember. I played Secrets of Da Vinci. That was good too.

No, I wouldn't want to shoot any animals, Jenny! I'll give that one a miss.
