I just noticed this game available at Big Fish myself. I'm surprised it isn't sold at a "Collector's Edition" price because it's a lot longer than most casual "adventure lite" games and worth a lot more than $6.99.

This game is also being sold on Amazon for $7.91 for the DVD version. Shipping is free for Prime members. I was thinking this is a really good-looking game and downloading the demo when it ocurred to me to check my game inventory. idea I already have it! yay

It's in my to be played stash (from 2009 laugh ).

Thanks Jenny. If you hadn't mentioned it was a large-file game I might not have looked.

Thanks for telling us about the game, Ana. It looks like I'm going to have to move it up in the playlist. happydance sherlock

I'm surprised there is a demo. BigFish doesn't usually have demos for their large file games, do they? Can't remember for sure but I don't think they do.

I wonder if this game has undergone any changes to be sold by BigFish.

Gil.

Has anyone been able to install the new Sherlock Holmes game? I tried twice with no success

Message says DLL missing - another odd thing, it tells me to "restart computer after installing"

hhmmmm - curiouser and curiouser

Janice, I noticed on the Big Fish forums that some folks had to restart their computer after installing the game. Not sure why, but it might have to do with the PhysX drivers that the game requires. wave

I restarted and still failed to start

I've given up on this one - in the BF forums there are dozens of problems listed in the tech thread. Also, looked at the walkthru and realize I've played this one a long time ago

Meanwhile, I resurrected from my account an old Sherlock Holmes that is quite good

The Lost Cases of 221B Baker Street. It's so long since I played that I've forgotten, so it's like a new game, and I'm liking it a lot - good puzzles and some HO scenes with an option to turn on the magnifying glass

Do you have the DirectX version the game needs?
Does it tell you the name of the dll file you're missing?

The Big Fish version works fine on my computer, but I haven't played far into it. The game starts up a lot faster without that TAGES/Solidshield DRM that's on the disc version.

It will probably work OK, but take extra time to start. TAGES makes my DVD drives go crazy revving up and slowing down until they satisfy the "check."
