for those of you who have their steam accounts, it'd be great if you could vote for Gray Matter to be on steam.
If you haven't played it - you have every interest in doing so, for it is most def one of the finest games released in recent years (written by the well acclaimed author of the Gabriel Knights, Jane Jensen). If you've played it and liked it, show some support and help it appear in steam as well

Helping them get on steam via greenlight helps them get money to make more games by getting the game sold on steam. It's just a vote you are giving them, not money.

I thought the company was bankrupted, but Jane Jensen still has the rights. Maybe Pinkerton Road Studio can get it out on Mac.

THe developers pay to put their games on Greenlight. Being on Steam is sometimes the only way they can get the word out on their games and earn money.

You aren't buying the game, it doesn't cost money, it doesn't matter if you hate steam and would never use it. It is just a vote for Steam to consider hosting the game. If you liked the game, it would be a nice way of showing it to the developer and publisher.

Voted for Gray Matter to be sold by Steam. This game deserves wide distribution and introduction to players who otherwise might not consider it. Didn't know about the bankruptcy. What a shame.

Well, I tried to vote for it but Steam claimed that my account didn't have that many privileges yet. They require that I buy a game first.

[I have several games but they were Steam freebies when I got them, including Portal 1.

Portal 1 isn't free now but you can still get a free episode of Sam & Max - Lincoln Must Die S1 Ep4 - and a number of STEAM Freebie games after installing the client. Of Course, you can still get that Sam & Max episode for free directly from TellTale games] TellTale Games- Sam & Max S1Ep4 - Lincoln Must Die

Then I am mistaken that you must have a Steam account to vote for it? (Which is a vote for Steam.)
And if you have an account, you must have bought at least one game to be able to vote for a game?

I would be more than happy to support many of these developers, don't get me wrong, but I can't do this.

traveler, then don't vote if you can't. It's simple as that.

For me personally this is actually a reasonable requirement from steam - to prevent vote-handling.

If there was not bought steam game and valid profile requirement, surely soon will emerge people who would profit by pushing up some game for the money by exploiting some bot account management.

Its just that they had Tales of Monkey Island on deep discount lately. After getting it I was able to vote, so I went back and did just that
