Thank you Becky for the review smile Great job smile

Isn't an 8 hour game - or so - on the rather short side? even for an adventure game? I seem to remember older games spanning from at least 10-16 hours or more?

On the other hand, some of the first Sherlock Games could be done in 6-8 hours, I think?

Adventure gaming is fun smile

Thanks for the comments! wave

Karsten -- the game was definitely shorter than Secret Files 2: Puritas Cordis. But part of that was because Secret Files 3 is structured so that it cut out some of the "back and forthing" that I did in Secret Files 2 -- though I like exploring large environments, I'm not wild about trudging everywhere before a puzzle can be solved.

I appreciate it when a game doesn't have (for instance) a difficult maze that seems to mostly be there to take up time and extend gameplay.

I didn't finish the game thinking "that was short!" -- partly, I suspect, because so much was happening in the plot.

Great review, thanks Becky! So you would say that there's a lot of character interaction then? Everything I've read has mentioned that there is hardly any, which I found disappointing. I would get the game either way, as I must complete the series, but good character interaction would be a definite plus for me. smile

The dream sequences sound intriguing. thumbsup

Well, to me "character interaction" means talking to other characters, and yes there was plenty of dialog. Not an excessive amount and not (as I recall) long strings of dialog trees. (I'm not a big fan of lengthy dialog trees.)

Ah, see, I like long dialogue trees. grin But that's fine, as long as there is plenty of dialogue, I'm happy. Thanks for the info, Becky. thumbsup

I found this to be a great game...those of you about to play it have a lot to enjoy!

I found this game even better than the first two games and they were very good...very immersive.
