Composer and saxmaster Simon D'souza performs a live evocation of the original music written for the hit independent computer and iOS game 'The Journey Down', featuring tracks played live to movies from the game, and exemplary playing from some of Brighton's finest musicians. It will likely be the first "live jazz from an independent game-soundtrack played by ELEVEN jazzicians" event, ever! Also, it will probably be awesome.
The game media says:
"... sexy jazzy reggae ... incredibly fine music" - Kotaku
"... a truly excellent soundtrack" - Destructoid
"... the reggae-jazz soundtrack is superior" - Touch Arcade
The live event will take place on June 23 at 2:00pm GMT+1 at
The Brunswick, in Brighton, and the live broadcast will be available via justjamit,
