Thanks, Ana! I went ahead and got the boxed version, which will make this my third copy - the other two being from Gamersgate and GOG. My BAAGS insanity has reared its head once again. lol Also, that's a very pretty box. smile

This is a kick in the pants to me! I had emailed Phoenix asking about a disc version and never received a reply (not even to say they didn't know yet). For the longest time I had been waiting a good year for games to be released on disc, checking Amazon daily or near daily. I finally gave up on discs as Amazon rarely has them anymore. I don't especially like downloading but it seems to be the only way to get games these days and I am trying to "go with the flow". I bought this game on Shiny Loot for $15 for all 4 episodes, but I would have gladly paid the $20 to Amazon for the disc (not now though - unlike venus, I just need it one time). I really think if a disc is going to be available it should come out at the same time as the download, or at least be made known a disc version is on it's way.

It really wouldn't have been fair oldbroad. There was a Kickstarter that gave the option of a hard copy and they deserved to be among the few that received it. Those that backed it before it was created and helped make it possible to see the light of day deserve an exclusive, even if only for a little while.

They still could have replied that they didn't know yet or something!
The arm and leg they ask for on Kickstarter to get a disc is way out of my range!
And really, it probably should stay exclusive to those backers then!

Don't feel too bad, Oldbroad.
The hard copy Amazon is selling is from Viva-Media, which has used DRM in the past. At least you know your ShinyLoot version is DRM-free and doesn't have limited activations.

I know Jenny100. I guess I am just lamenting the fact that I've pretty much given up on discs so I'm one more person/reason for discs to become obsolete.

Yup. When they issue the disc version so many months after the download, and people give up on waiting for the disc and get the download, they can claim the disc version didn't sell. Same way people buy downloads when they're DRM-free instead of discs with DRM, even though what they really want is a disc that's DRM-free.

At least if it's a DRM Free download it can be burnt to disc.
I know it's not the same as a "retail" produced one but I find it helps me with MY preference for disks smile

Saw a physical copy of Cognition, all four games for $20 on amazon. Anyone know if there's any difference with that and the download fron Phoenix Studios? The product features says there's bonus features, but it doesn't say what they are.

NDLVR, I combined your post to the CD Cognition post. You'll find your answers in the first post.

Yes it did smile I love the music in the games, and the fact that this pack comes with a sound track, that helped me decide to buy it even though I bought the downloads of the games from Phoenix Online.

Thanks for your help penguin
