The Shooting Star website announces the release of a number of classic Cryo and recent Koalabs soundtracks by composer Pierre Estève for this year. As the message explains, popular demand led to Pierre going through the vaults, and coming up with the soundtracks for Deo Gratias (strategy game from 1999), which has just been made available, and at least Atlantis Evolution (aka Atlantis IV) and the more recent Koalabs/Microïds entries of Dracula 4: Shadow of the Dragon and Dracula 5: The Blood Legacy, to be released later this year.

It isn't an easy task, they say, because there are lots of different versions, remixes and edits on his drives which have to be sorted out first.

Some of the earlier releases of game soundtracks on CD included a lot of conceptual artwork, but I guess the upcoming ones will be downloads only, and won't have any bonus materials.

I always liked the Atlantis: The Lost Tales music, but I already have it on CD.
It would be nice if the soundtrack to Faust were available.

Lost Eden's music was nice, too.

Same with me: I already have 'Atlantis: The Lost Tales' and 'Atlantis II' as downloads and on CD, which as a physical medium is nice, because it includes a lot of artwork and information about the instruments used.

As for the Faust soundtrack, who is it by? I think the end credits for 'Polygram Special Projects' are just a little mysterious. Would they be treated samples from a general song or music library?

Yes, that is by Stéphane Picq and is available from Shooting Star too, as CD or download.

I just thought of adding a new post to this thread, because until December 1, it is Cyber Week at Shooting Star webshop, which means you can order four classic Pierre Estève/Stéphane Picq soundtracks on CD (including artwork, Flash animations and CD text) for 9.99 euros each (about US $ 10.60, I don't know about shipping costs etc.).

It applies to Atlantis (I): The Lost Tales, Riverworld, Lost Eden and Black Moon Chronicles.

Yes, it may still seem relatively expensive compared to downloads and streaming, but please remember this is really the only way the original artists can keep profiting from their own work. It takes 10 times as many iTunes downloads, or even 30,000 as many Spotify plays to earn a monthly minimum wage!
