It's not an easy game, and not everyone will like it. What makes it notable is that the story, concept, and script were done by Douglas Adams (author of the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy books). You can read more about the game here. It had some neat puzzles, as I recall. And Gamespot actually gave it a good review (a lot of their reviews are quite critical of adventure games).

It was my first and is still my favorite adventure game. It's wacky and sometimes frustrating (chicken with or without sauce, noisy parrot, bonky bots), but it's also great fun. I recommend it.
