I just discovered this delightful game recently. I've heard of it over the years, but wasn't sure if I would like it. I bought it while it was on sale on GOG, and I love it so far!! Haven't finished it yet, but wow! Beautiful sights and sounds, and story. I'm wondering if people loved the sequel as much as this first one? grin

Not as much. The sequel wasn't bad, but I didn't like it as much as the first one. I didn't like how it seemed like you had to use the monkey for almost everything.

If you liked the first one, you may like the second one too.

I don't know if GOG is offering it, but Fireflower is. Their site seems to be down at the moment (connection issue with cloudflare according to the Error 520 message), but try again later at

Thanks Jenny! wave I just might check out the second game. I just can't believe I didn't play this game sooner.

I remember enjoying it, maybe not as much as the first, but definitely worth playing.

Both of these games are still in my "to be played" pile.

Yes, the Jules Verne set of games were great!

Do you know that there's still an (almost) fully functional website around featuring these games?!

It can be found here.

From the top bar, you can access the other games in the series, Journey to the Moon, and Secret of the Nautilus.

It has artwork, screenshots, music, wallpapers, demos etc. Not all of them work, but a lot of these can also be found on the Microids site.

Good luck!

Rich

P.S. If you have the original DVD cover artwork for the game, if you click the bottom bar caption "Find the Jeps", all the hidden monkeys in the artwork are revealed in a pop-up window.
