The Game was released in January but slipped under the radar. With the first person gameplay and mechanical and electrical puzzles it may be a winner for Myst and Rhem fans as well as others!

You can buy the game on Steam here.

Check out the trailer here.

Quote:
Description

INFRA is an atmospheric and completely non-violent first-person puzzle adventure that deals with the issues of deteriorating infrastructure. The player controls an ordinary structural analyst through abandoned factories, forgotten tunnels and unsafe buildings in a dangerous, crumbling industrial city and its surrounding rural areas. Along the way, the player will be taking photos of structural weaknesses, solving environmental puzzles and unraveling a thought-provoking story centered around corruption and deception.

History

Although the company was founded in 2013, the development of our first game INFRA started two years earlier as a Source Engine mod project. The scope of the project eventually grew large enough to become a fully fledged standalone title. This became even more evident after getting Greenlit by the Steam community with over 45,000 positive votes, peaking at top 4. The success on Steam Greenlight prompted us to found the company and start looking for investors to fund the game. By 2015, we had managed to raise some money from investors, but not enough to finish the entire game. This lead to us running a fundraising campaign on Indiegogo. While we did manage to raise some money, we failed to reach the campaign goal, and needed to take drastic action to get the game released. We decided to split the game into two parts. As of January 15th 2016, INFRA: Part 1 has been released on Steam to "very positive" user reviews. We're currently working on INFRA: Part 2, and are aiming to release it as a free update by the end of the year.

Features

Solve varying mechanical and electrical puzzles
Explore highly detailed maps with multiple routes and hidden secrets
Visit dozens of unique locations, each with their distinctive gameplay
Avoid hazards and survive in the crumbling world
Learn about the city of Stalburg and its people
Uncover a massive scheme behind the city's problems

Happy Gaming!

This one sounds intriguing!
Pity it's on steam, though.

Thanks! So easy for games to disappear when published on Steam only. The amount of games there is overwhelming. Hopefully it will find its way to a DRM-free store.

I only buy games on Steam in cases where there are no other alternatives and I really need to play the game. INFRA turned out to be the best game I've played so far this year so I'm glad I decided to get it despite being a Steam exclusive.

INFRA is a first person game with gorgeous graphics focusing mainly on exploration and story. But there are puzzles too, mostly pretty easy and with the aim to get machines you encounter in various abandoned industrial buildings working in order for you to advance in the game.

Highly recommended game! Be aware though that only part one of the planned two or three parts of the game has been released yet, but the rest of the episodes will be free of charge if you've bought the first one. The second part is reportedly just around the corner. Also, it's controlled by keyboard/mouse or a game pad (a positive for me but not for everyone I understand). There are a couple of timed sequences too, but they feel natural given the premise of the game.

I've given up with this game.

Story line is not that interesting and the puzzles are annoying. Developers also changed things around so some of the video walkthroughs don't correspond to game locations anymore.
