I can't believe it's been 50 years since President Kennedy died. Anyone old enough to remember this, knows where they were on this date. I was 14 years old & home from school with the flu laying down on the sofa, watching t.v. with my mom when the program was interrupted by the bulletin. It was a very sad day indeed.

I was home playing on the living room floor in front of the TV with my mom and remember it like yesterday.

I was just coming over to the 'band room' (I was in the marching band all through school) and was going to eat my lunch there when I saw everyone was crying. Found out about the shooting from someone who could actually voice words. Principal on loudspeaker all over campus announced the shooting and sent us all home. Sad sad day.

WARNING! This person is extremely blonde...please type SLOWLY.

I was 21 years old at work. I remember my boss, a woman, swore because she was so upset.

I was 22 years old and watching TV with some new friends. We had just recently moved to Florida and our first house.

I was in my sophomore year of high school and I can remember being in shock and having to call my mom to come and pick me up when they told us all to go home. I had been such a fan of JFK and his family and so was my mom. We went to Palm Springs and stayed there until after the funeral. I remember my mom being so upset and saying she was so sorry my siblings and I had to live during a time that this could happen. She passed away prior to 9/11 but she had lived thru the Great Depression and WW 2(and served in a civilian job with the 4th Air Force installing bomb sights on warplanes), but the murder of a president shook her up really bad.

Sophmore in high school and in my typing class. I'll never forget the sickening feeling in my stomach.

Our school had what they called the Community Hall where they sometimes took us for movies, indoor sports etc. We were walking back to our classes when Mrs. Wilcox, our school secretary and a good friend, came running down the road crying and screaming, "Our President has been shot!" I was 10. Funny how clear it all still is.....Still makes me sick.

I was in my third-grade class and our teacher got a phone call from the principal. Our teacher then told us the news and we were all sent home for the day. I can remember that when I got home my parents were sitting there in front of the television, both looking totally stunned and disbelieving.

It's hard to believe that 50 years have passed since then.
