Stuff does happen, like it or not. And often, even we were prescient, we couldn't have prevented disaster anyways.

It is still raining here and high winds are howling...hope we don't lose power. No walk yesterday and looks like no walk for me today. Snow may mix in with the rain as the day goes on...the house is "creaking" with the gusty winds!

I remember our home "creaking" with gusty storm winds and passing hurricanes when we lived on the East coast. Hope you get back to walking soon. Connie, the cinnamon crunch bagels are marvelous. Good Thursday morning! Just got back from town and dropping off Mama Kitty at the vet for a follow-up on her kidney issues. Took me awhile to catch her as she was quite frisky this morning.

NOW, I can sit down with my WADD! Thank you Gerry! League bowling tonight.

Well, I can honestly say that Dude is handsome but dumb. I spent about 20 minutes yesterday showing him how to go in and out through his cat door, literally taking him outside and letting him go in through the the flap. He's worked out the "out" part of the equation. Still comes to the door to be let in. Sigh.

It's a bit brisk here today. I'm off for a couple of appointments and then a nice long walk.

We had almost 70 degrees here yesterday and now the snow is coming down - supposed to get several inches...no power outages, please!

Lots of my Spring plants have come up way too early - because the temperature has been too high, too soon.
And now they will certainly all get blown to bits this weekend

We are also having quite a lot of rain and wind, probably bad news in terms of cherry blossom about to appear on several trees in our garden, although the spring bulbs (daffodils and tulips) are mostly resilient enough to survive.

We had quite a stormy day yesterday with bitter cold wind, rain, sleet, and then snow. No walk for 2 days and I am feeling it...getting stiff from too much sitting! I will walk today, but it will be cold in the 30s with a wind chill and no sun...and only a chance of showers later.

Good morning, everyone! I woke up to about 7 inches of snow this morning. As long as I have been here (22 years), I've never had this much snowfall in April.

Good afternoon from me too, oldbroad! Snow! Yikes, I just don't know if I could even handle SNOW at this point! I just posted a beautiful picture of my pool deck with all my flowers from a few summers ago on my FB page. I'm ready for summer!

Picked up Mama Kitty from her checkup this afternoon. She's doing much better, but her kidney numbers are not great yet. So I'll be keeping her on the million dollar kidney cat food and the meds that cost more than my own!

Nice flowers Draclvr! Will you have lots of flowers again this summer?

Oh, yes, soot! I have dozens and dozens of daylily beds plus phlox, native prairie coneflowers and several native grasses. I just need to get all these beds cleaned up if the weather would just cooperate!
