This game had a problem running if you use AVG as your antivirus, although the latest version of AVG is supposed to have corrected this.

What antivirus programs are you running?

Okay, so it's not AVG that's causing the problem. Other than making sure your antivirus or other possible background programs aren't running when you start So Blonde, I can't really offer any other suggestions, other than to check and make sure that your computer meets all the system requirements, along with making sure that your video card has the latest drivers.

I'm sure someone else will come along who will have additional advice to offer. smile

It's always so disappointing to get a new game, only to discover that for one reason or another it doesn't just start up and run; I understand.

Hang in there--someone will be able to help. smile

Did you try and turn off Norton. Some folks had problems with that one too. They even had to go to the extreme of uninstalling Norton and then install So Blonde in order to get it to work.
You can try that and then install Norton again afterwards.

No I'm not going to do it. Why to unistall Norton. It is my protector .No way. I prefer to throw it at the carbage and cry for the € that I have payed for it. They have to be more responsible and create a game that it will run smoothly.Of course I will notified all my friends to stay away from it. Pitty another one has created a game that it will run under...they have only imagine. shocked

Where did you buy it? Can you return it?
If not, see if you can trade it.
Don't just throw it out.

Hi GIOVANNA smile

If you tell Norton that you think your Norton security package is preventing you from playing a game, they might recommend that you alter one of your security settings, and they would know which setting it would be safe to alter.

That is what I meant grin

The quickest way would be to telephone them but I don't know how expensive that would be for you.

[I have both telephoned AND emailed them for help in the past and have always been assisted.]

Cheers.

Mad luck

I'm also having a problem installing So Blond. It loads almost all of the game and then I get a message-
"An error occured during file transfer. Please ensure there is no default on your DVD ROM then reinstall."
What does that mean? duh I used to be blond but now I'm gray
Thanks for your time wave

Has any one seen any little gray cells around as I think I've lost some? Reward for finder.

I think it means your computer can't copy a file from the DVD drive to the hard drive. It might be being caused by an antivirus deleting what it considers to be a suspicious file. Do you have AVG antivirus?

Yes, I do have AVG antivirus so I will turn it off just to load the game and see what happens. Life would be soooo much simpler if these error messages could be in plain English rather than computor gobbled gook, don't you agree?

***Here's*** a thread at Adventuregamers where other people had the problem, so you're not alone. They do have a solution, but you have to uninstall AVG.

I had the same problem but I didn't have to uninstall AVG. All I did was start up AVG and turn off the Resident Shield and installed the game, and turned it back on after the installation was complete. Hope you get it working.
