Hello,

I have been to the Kensington Gardens and
to Wharf 321 where I got to control a dog
(what great fun that was), but in order
to progress further I must then visit
the Whitechapel area, but I can't!

When the game tries to load this location,
the screen goes completely gray and everything
freezes, so that I have to restart my PC.

So if anybody out there has a saved game
from after the Whitechapel section
and would mail it to me
I will be very grateful.

Kind regards from Ole.

P.S. I have installed the patch
but to no avail.

Where did you get your game from, Ole?

Have you tried turning down all the graphics options in the game menu?

The patch address a lagging issue with HDMI, is your monitor connected this way?

Is this a DVD or Digital download?

The game is the DVD version from Amazon.co.uk.

However, I have just seen another topic in
this forum about the same game and the gamer -
Dianne - seems to have the exact same problems
as I have.

I will turn down all the graphics options though,
and see if it will help.

Just a note ....

I'm playing this game on a nine year old XP machine and to my amazement it's been fine.
The only twitchy graphics happened on the two occasions when I visited the Whitechapel Dispensary.
In that location every graphic change suddenly dropped to a "snail pace change" but the game didn't actually stop. I was able to carry on and get through the scenes both times.
Nothing else untoward though at all thumbsup
