I just purchased Cognition from GOG not too long ago, and I'd like to replace my Gamersgate version, as the GOG version is DRM free. However, I would like to transfer some of my saved games to the new version, and I can't seem to find them. Does anyone know where they are located?

I'm not sure if the DRM saved games will work with DRM free version. You could try and see.

In win7 the saved game folder is in: C:\Users\Computer name\AppData\LocalLow\Phoenix Online Studios

Thanks, MaG. Unfortunately, the saves aren't there for me. I did a search, since I didn't even see AppData as an option. I did find LocalLow, but there was nothing in the saved game folder there, and there was no Phoenix Online Studio folder. Maybe the Gamersgate version puts them somewhere else. Or maybe the DRM saves are purposely hidden so they can't be transferred?

Really, it's only a save from episode 3 that I need anyway. I ran into a glitch at one point where Cordelia would repeat herself on a loop, and I couldn't progress. Finally, it just broke after I loaded the saved game, and I kept a saved game after that point in case I encountered the loop again.

I suppose I could just keep 2 copies of Episode 3 - the Gamersgate version and the GOG version - play up to that point to make sure I can get past it, and delete the Gamersgate version if all goes well. Do you think it would be all right to have both versions installed without them interfering with one another?

Phoenix online would know best what to do about the 2 games.

Okay, thanks MaG, I may have to. For now, I'll just take my chances with the two episodes installed together. I can always delete one if they start acting strangely. If I need a saved game later, I'll let you know.
