Well, have been using the free versions of ccleaner for several years. seemed to be doing ok..UNTIL noticed that out of cutiosity I pressed the analyze button...and it said internet explorer cookies skipped.
Why? How can I get it 'clean' those cookies. using Chrome as my browser. using Win 7-64bit.
and I'm over 70 and have had a couple strokes so does take me awhile to catch on but this boggles me.
using the newest version of ccleaner v5.476716 .
oh forgot to say use Norton (if that makes any difference.).

Ccleaner not deleting cookies is a bug that's been around for some time
https://forum.piriform.com/topic/49361-ccleaner-not-deleting-cookies/
The difference is that now they let you know cookies are not being deleted.

Here are instructions for deleting cookies

Thank you so much Jenny100. I will try and wrap this old brain around this. I just get so nervous when have to fiddle with my laptop.
You and all the other MODS have helped so many people over the years..I am truly grateful.

Gamenut, when you open up CCleaner, look on the left. Are all the cleaning options checked in IE? If you don't use it and only use Chrome, there is likely nothing much to be cleaned in IE. I know it always says nothing after I run it because I don't use it either.

Gardens put to bed for the winter. Time for some gaming!
