Trying to install my favorite game:Riddle of the Sphinx version 2.0.I have an HP530 laptop with Vista business OS. When I do it takes 4ever. Tried with antivirus protection on and off, doesn't matter.It wont extract all files from the disk,does anyone know why or what I could do?

Have you used this particular disc to successfully install the game before? If not, it's possible the disc is bad. Even if it "looks" clean, it could have a manufacturer defect and be unreadable.

Have you tried copying the contents of the game disc to a folder on your hard drive? That would be one test for whether the disk is good or not.

No it's a new disc and this is the 1st computer i've tried it on.I'll give your suggestion a try and see what happens.Thanks for your reply.

Tried your suggestion Jenny, alas the same result.I appreciate your help.I'm starting to think it's my computer anyway.When I put disc in drive it tells me it's drive F DVD/RW and I'm pretty sure I have touchpad issues.Computer won't accept an update for touchpad port.

If there's a problem with your touchpad you should still be able to hook up a USB mouse to it and use that.

If your DVD/RW is faulty, you can use a USB DVD drive.

But if this is the only game disc that gives you a problem, I'd blame the game disc.
