I'm playing the copy from GOG.com...and I'm at the part in chapter 2 where Mathilda splashes the potion on Rosella's invisible face and just as Rosella is human again, the game crashes. I've replayed from the last save ten times, all with the same problem,

Any idea why this is happening?

Maybe you try and re-install the game again. Or maybe you can try asking for a save game after the potion on Rosella's face.

You could also look at the forum at GOG and see if they have a fix.

What is your operating system .

GOG is very good about supporting their games - I would contact them.

This is strange indeed. Does windows 8 do the same thing? Is Windows 8.1 similar to Windows 7? (I need Windows Explorer to get around. smile

IN Windows 7 is the location of saves for a specific game the same regardless of user or version of Win 7 or do they still go who knows where? I'm getting a new computer built for me should I use Win 7 or go to Win 8.1?

Mr. Bill

That's a tough question, Mr. Bill. I would do a little internet research on Windows 8.1. It works great for me and gaming has been no problem at all. But if you are coming from XP or Vista, Windows 7 will be much less of a learning curve. It depends on how comfortable you are with learning some new things. In a way, I'd lean towards Windows 7 - I just don't think there's a better operating system out there. And Microsoft will support it until 2020.

EDIT: And yes, it seems that Windows 8.1 does the same thing!
