If there's a speed error, then a virtual machine is probably your best bet.

And be sure to turn off the Intel VT or AMD-V in the computer's BIOS. Intel VT and AMD-V are for speeding up virtual machines, which is not a good thing if your game doesn't work with the excess speed.
