The following clues will lead to a series of words consisting of 4 to 8 letters. The five-letter word will contain all of the letters in the four-letter word. The six-letter word will contain all of the letters from the five-letter word and so on. The successive words are most likely anagrammed. The clues are not necessarily (normally not) in order from smallest to largest.

This example is for 3 to 7 letter words

Example: Add wharf to: eye part, against, teach, prepare pelts, Picasso
Solution: Add "p-i-e-r" to: retina, anti, train, tan, painter
Put in order it would be: tan, ant(I), t(R)ain, r(E)tina, (P)ainter

-1. Add wing part to: answer, ceremonial fire, sticky bug trap, submit again, word with piano and record
-2. Add Oscar Madison type to: follower, most wane, record, stick, things suitable for drinking
-3. Add be unsuccessful to: bet, disobedient, exaggerated, hold, look after
-4. Add applies a small amount to: most expansive, ripped, speak, terminated, yacht owner
-5. Add rind to: baby bed, fragrant wood, part of a deck, put back, state

Sometimes lost is where you need to be. Just because you don't know your direction doesn't mean you don't have one.
