If you haven't played this little gem, you're missing out on a treat :)It is on sale right now for $1.99 at Greenman.
World of Goo, a downloadable game from Brighter Minds, dev. by 2nd Boy (2008), is based on constructing towers, ladders, and bridges with "gooballs". your objective in each level is to get at least a minimum number of gooballs to a pipe(usually located a good distance from your starting point and constructions are obstructed by various obstacles such as whirring blades, spikes, walls,or extreme height. The gooballs have different abilities: building, sticking, ballooning, exploding.
Your path leads you through the 5 "worlds" of Goo Corporation. Each world has about 10 levels, progressing from fairly easy to hair-pulling.There are amusing sounds of goo stretching, plopping, and popping. They also talk-cheering you on as you get them closer to the pipe.In addition to the sound effects is suspenseful music to fit the pace of action as you build your constructions.
Each level has subtle hints in cryptic messages left on wooden signs by the "signpainter",which adds some wit and humor.
The visuals are imaginative, playful, and colorful, giving a unique mood and theme to each world.
The game played flawlessly, without any bugs or glitches, always a gaming pleasure!

I love this game. It's a great bargain at $6.99 and an absolute steal at $1.99!

Gardens put to bed for the winter. Time for some gaming!
