Return to Mysterious Island dead ends?

Hi,
I'm just wondering if hidden amongst all the multiple solutions to the various problems if it's possible to get a dead end. I'm no sure if I've reached one.

The monkey won't let me back into the cave-dwelling (can't remember its name) and I used up the last of my alcohol bribe on the monkey across the bridge. I'm guessing there's another way around this monkey (perhaps drugging him with darts?) but I wanted to check.

Is it possible to hit a dead end in this game? Or do I just persevere on?

There are no dead ends in this game, but there are lots of different ways of doing things, which is what makes the game such fun.

Is this the monkey who is guarding the rear passage to the cave dwelling? He might like a gift of a cake if you can bake him one.

Another way of getting rid of the monkey at the bridge was to scare him with the snake, so you could also try this with cave monkey. Have you already captured the snake?

I'm really enjoying this game. I'm quite glad because it's been a while since I've loved a new release as much as I love this one!

It's one of my favourites too. Good luck with that snake.

A couple quick questions:

1. I'm missing a part of the diving suit and I have no idea what it is... I have the suit and the mask and the air tank. What am I missing? (Flippers? Wire?)

2. When I buried Captain Nemo's body I followed his ghost over to the pond where the fish used to be. He said something along the lines of "a gift for you" but I can't see anything new on this screen. What am I missing?

3. And I've got the cannon working, but I can't aim it. The doesn't seem to be any way to move it side to side, all you can do is fire. Am I supposed to be able to move it?

1. Do you have the light source (cheged lantern) for the diving suit?

2. Look close at the post at the pond and get the gift.

3. Is this the one by the window, no I don't think it can be moved. Look close at the wick to aim and see a target. Fire it when the robot passes.
