Dracula 3 decoder

Can somebody please tell me exactly what to do with
this decoder?I'm typing in the proper code letters but
I don't see the decoded message.Also,the walkthru says
after 2 or 3 rows the message is automatically placed
in documents.How do I get 2 or 3 rows.I just get all
on one line.Help please???

Hi Beerhead,

Make sure that you have the paper that needs to be decoded.
Double check that the letter and the Roman Numerals are correct on top of the decoder.
Then type in the letters from the coded paper.
After decoding 3 or more lines of letters from the paper, it will automatically decode, and will appear in your documents.

Rush,what paper needs to recorded,do you mean the coded
paper or am I missing something?

Just a review:

You use the pencil on the blank paper on the right. You see sets of letters.
On the decoder you place: IV III I V II on the end of the top bars. On the top of th bars should have: S E P T E.
Then you type the codes from the paper you used the pencil on until automatically decoded.

MaG,I did all that but I only have the coded letter in
documents.

Beerhead, I had trouble at the same spot. I left the puzzle for a while, visited other locations and roamed around. When I came back to try the decoder again, for some reason it suddenly worked, the letters I decoded made sense. Probably just coincidence, but if there's anything else you can do in the game in the meantime, go do it and then come back later.

I do have a saved game after the document has been decoded if you need it, just say the word.

I don't want to hone in on someone else's post, but I just wanted to say a BIG Thank you to MaG, Rushes and anyone else who gave me help and saved games. I finished Dracula 3 yesterday. What a great game.

Help please,I can't find the chapel.Luana says "we must
know our enemies"Then I must look for the print near the
water.Then I must go foward to the path that Luana showed.
I don't see any water,and the only paths available are
to the ruined castle,and the other back to town.Luana
doesn't show me any path to take.She just sits there.

Turn left from the oak tree and go forward. there is a stream at the R side of you and the chapel is in front of you.

Double check that you have read all the documents in Janos and your room at the Inn. You still do not know your 'enemies'.

I am at big oak tree. Talked to gypsy she did not tell me where path is. Just a speech where my heart is. Is it passed the bull. No hot spots any where. Spent hours on this part. Like to finish this game.

I changed your post from all caps.

If Luana is not telling you about the path near the water, then you have missed something earlier in the game to trigger it.

Have you found and read all Janos's documents, and developed the film correctly?

I have a saved game at this point if you need it.

im at the 7 pillars. did the torch/scratched the symbles/put the object in all the mouths according to the walkthru the steel doors wont open.did all diaolog wit janos. stuck

Are you sure you added the correct objects to each of the pillars and did them in the correct order?

according to the walk thru

Double check against the walkthrough and make sure that all drawings and objects are in place and the torches are lit, and that you moved in the correct direction counterclockwise around the pillars. Also ensure that you have read all documents that relate to these objects. It might help to go back to a previous saved game and replay this section.

Did the symbols light up on all of the pillars?

all symbols are lit/oblect in place/in order of walk thru.oh well
maybe next time.

Check that you have all the objects to be picked up (also host, crucifix, wild rose, garlic, Rowan berries, holy water, bomb, hammer and stake).
Also check the round plate on the floor.

went counterclockwise this time still nothing. shut off most torchs
on a whim grabed the lighter. BINGO the door open.walk thru doesnt explainthis. im on my way YAAAAAAAA.
