Alibi in ashes

I have followed the walkthrough thoroughly and have been released from jail --- i have done everything else since including the van inspection including all the tape interviews -- I have then spoken to Bess in the Drew's home but the battery is not in the drawer in the bedroom -- any advice please --- Petjo

Take a peek at THIS older thread, see if it outlines anything you might have missed. Be absolutely sure to have checked all pages of any documents you might have picked up so far in the game.
