Goblins 2-meatball

Hi fellow Boomers,
I've been playing "Goblins 2", and I'm stuck in one scene: Sprinkling the meatball that's thrown up to the shelf by the cook. After the cook is pulled up and Fingus has put the TACK on the CRATE, I quickly switch to Winkle and then access the "kindelixer". Each time I point to the meatball, I can never pinpoint it so that it gets sprinkled with the elixer.
I have managed to do everything ELSE in this chapter, but I can't have Fingus pick up the "buffoon" from the throne room because of NOT "spiking" the meatball first.I MUST be mising something here.
I'd appreciate some help from any of you who have played through this game. Thanks

P.S. I have even played through a You-Tube video WT of this game in which Winkle successfully sprinkles the elixer on the meatball. I notice that in MY game, the word "MEATBALL" does NOT appear at the bottom of the screen when using the elixer on it. Very frustrating.

I remember this part and I remember that you had to be very fast. The only thing I can remember for this is that you had to see the "highlighted" part and kind of memorize where it was so that you could click on it fast. Sorry I can't be more help, all I remember is that you had to be fast to get it done. It is a very fun game, so, I hope you get past this part. In fact, I think it was my favorite game of the series!

Thanks Mag and mbday630, for your input. Although I've tried a "zillion" times to get past this point, I haven't beaten it yet. As far as this series, it IS a lot of fun, and this particular game is harder to play than the other two. I remember playing it years ago when it was "new". My mind and fingers worked much quicker in those "good old" days LOL. BUT, since I'm "a glutton for punishment"
and extremely STUBBORN, I will keep trying until my fingers fall off. I will let you know, not IF, but WHEN I beat this "puzzle".

Thanks for passing along this WT, Mag. I HAVE been using THIS and quite a few other WT'S trying to get past this part of the game. I'm just going to keep trying until I get it right

FINALLY, after much time, I used the elixer on the meatball and completed the chapter. Now I'm "moving along", thanks to the inspiration you gave to me, Mag and Mbday630, (It also helped to be a little faster). LOL
