Re: Safecrackerhello - 04/06/13 03:08 AM

Did you open the safe in this room?
The walkthrough and game are based on opening safes. You're a safecracker. luck

hi Mag. when i try to solve the currency puzzle, the puzzle is already solved and the light is still red, although i have solved the white squares and the numbers that add to 15. i can't get the light green. is this a program bug and what can i do? can you help? robert.

Hi robert,

Double check that your solution matches this:

No row, column or diagonal should have two symbols the same in it.

Re: Safecrackerhello - 04/06/13 10:58 PM

they match exactly only the light at the top is red. robert.

Re: Safecrackerhello - 04/09/13 07:27 PM

i am at the store in the basement and need a piston from the small sitting room safe - is this the safe that needs a T-shaped key? how do i open it? robert.

Re: Safecrackerhello - 04/09/13 08:20 PM

To open the sitting room safe you'll need the key from the laser locked safe in the workshop. So work on that one first. luck

Re: Safecrackerhello - 04/09/13 11:25 PM

hi Rushes. which safe is the 'laser locked' safe and how do i open it? robert.

Re: Safecrackerhello - 04/10/13 01:04 AM

Try the 2 keys (T-shaped or gold key) taken from that laser locked safe in the workshop. See which one works. luck

Re: Safecrackerhello - 04/10/13 01:47 AM

hi Mag. please see my previous post to Rushes regarding the laser locked safe, thanks, robert.

Re: Safecrackerhello - 04/10/13 02:02 AM

As I mentioned in my post above - it is the safe in the workshop. The other safe has a broken lock; the one you need is the other one in that room.

You mentioned a T-shaped key in your previous post - that T shaped key is supposed to be taken from that laser locked safe.

Re: Safecrackerhello - 04/10/13 03:38 PM

hi Mag. i am having real trouble with this one. is this the safe with the button on front that looks like a sunken ball bearing? nothing is responding to cursor action, the button, numbers, nothing. what do i do to get this safe to react? robert.
Posted By: Rushes

Re: Safecrackerhello - 04/10/13 03:56 PM

Yes, that sounds like the one, robert. It's the safe on the table to your left, directly after you enter the workshop.

The clue to opening the laser locked safe can be found on a paper hidden inside the dining room safe. Did you open the dining room safe yet?

The laser safe can still be opened by trial and error, though, as I recall, even if you don't have the clue paper.

The clue was: "Less 8 nm under the upper limit of the buttercup nm."

(Buttercup = Yellow.)

Then from MaG's walkthrough:

Adjusting the number to the known wave lengths of the visible portion of the spectrum on the panel displays the different colors: Violet (400-425), Indigo (426- 446), Blue (447-499), Green (500-569), Yellow (570-592), Orange (593-620) and Red.

Click to reveal..
The 3 digit number should be set to 584. The buttons to press to set are above and below the safe's display panel. You need to patient and wait for the number entries to register. Then the laser light beam will change colour.

Re: Safecrackerhello - 04/10/13 07:09 PM

thanks Rushes, that was a BIG help. now, what safe should i open using the paper i got when i won the racing game? robert.

Re: Safecrackerhello - 04/10/13 08:40 PM

That was the code to activate the keypad puzzle, getting all the numbers to add up to 15 -- which you've already solved. smile

Re: Safecrackerhello - 04/10/13 10:00 PM

that's right Rushes. where do i go from here? robert.

Re: Safecrackerhello - 04/11/13 02:22 PM

I'm not sure of the order you've opened the safes in, robert. What do you have in your inventory? (Items disappear when you no longer need them.)

Just try exploring the house. Check any shut doors, see if they need a key or can be easily opened.

Check your game map -- that shows a basic diagram of the house and displays which safes still need to be cracked in the rooms that you've explored so far.

Re: Safecrackerhello - 04/11/13 02:58 PM

hi Rushes, where do i check the game map - as per your last para? i am not too sure where. robert.

Re: Safecrackerhello - 04/11/13 04:42 PM

Click on the left end of the toolbar for the map. luck

Re: Safecrackerhello - 04/11/13 05:39 PM

hi Rushes, please excuse my ignorance but where is the toolbar? i feel so stupid and uneducated in the ways of Windows. robert.
Posted By: Rushes

Re: Safecrackerhello - 04/11/13 05:47 PM

Sorry robert, I meant your inventory toolbar. Right click to bring up your inventory bar, and then click on the larger end square at the far left. It brings up your map, and you can switch between the different floor levels to find the safe locations.

Re: Safecrackerhello - 04/11/13 08:09 PM

hi Rushes, how do i get into the violet bedroom? robert.
Posted By: MaG

Re: Safecrackerhello - 04/11/13 11:30 PM

It is one of the bedroom on second floor but not sure if it is the large one at right side of the map. The door is opened with the double key taken from the Winter Garden.

Re: Safecrackerhello - 04/13/13 05:54 PM

hi Mag. where do i find the missing wheel that opens the door leading to the laundry room please? robert.

Re: Safecrackerhello - 04/13/13 06:09 PM

Use the steering wheel from the Sarah safe on the hole of the lock.

Sarah's safe is in the library.
