Dracula 4 - 06/20/13 12:48 AM

Does anyone know where to find the key to the safe? Thanks!

Re: Dracula 4 - 06/20/13 12:55 AM

Upstairs and you have to do the gear puzzle. drop the boat down on the other side of the puzzle and the boat drops down stairs. The key in in the boat.

Re: Dracula 4 - 06/20/13 02:39 AM

Chief,

Follow the clues of the book locations. The third place to find will show you the safe. The first clue will be in the A's, then C's. It is behind the F's.

OK, Mag and Chief,
Here I go again that I'm inquiring about a WT for this game. Any plans for it in the near future? "Old men need help". LOL

Hi,can I have a save game for the circles puzzle
in the crypt?
By the way I have windows 8 can you tell me where the saves are?
Thank you in advance. smile wave

Re: Dracula 4 - 06/21/13 08:54 PM

Haroula,

There is a skip on this puzzle.
If you see a tab at top of the page - click it and see the pull down menu.

I presume this is the one under the inscription (not the one underground).
I have an autosaved game for this part for the second profile. I will send that with instructions.

Re: Dracula 4 - 06/22/13 12:40 PM

May I also have a save for after the circle puzzle. I have been trying for ages, and am still not seeing any tab to skip the game. Where are the saves for windows 7 btw?
Thank you in advance,

Doreen

Re: Dracula 4 - 06/22/13 02:41 PM

Are you playing "casual"? You can change it in option and then you can skip the skip tab.
I sent you a saved game.

Re: Dracula 4 - 06/22/13 03:35 PM

Hi MaG, thank you for the save. I had persevered and got it myself. I am playing adventure mode.

Wonderful! bravo

You can still change to casual (later change back to adventure) during the game.
The selection is at the options.

Hello,
I am going to ask a dumb question. in the very first part. ellen meets bizlos. and then she is to turn right and see the painting on the easel. I looked and looked and haven't found the painting. where is it.

Re: Dracula 4 - 06/22/13 07:06 PM

The painting is on the easel.
If you clicked on the box and then the painting - the painting might already be in the box.

Please check that box.

Re: Dracula 4 - 06/22/13 07:36 PM

Kathy,

You are facing Lazlo.
Pan right and see a bulletin board with the suspect's picture.
Below that is the box that you should place the painting on.

Please double check also that your computer is within the requirements.

Re: Dracula 4 - 06/22/13 09:41 PM

I had made a big mistake. in the start. I didn't do the prologue. now that I am in it I am trying to pack the box with the painting in it. but there must be a glich, because i got the packing strip on the box, melted the wax. but it won't let me put the wax on the metal clip. can you help. or should i start all over again.

Re: Dracula 4 - 06/22/13 09:49 PM

Do you have the metal clip in close-up?
Do you have the seal?
Is the metal clip red?

Re: Dracula 4 - 06/22/13 10:38 PM

I started the game over again, and started with the proogue. i put the painting in the box, got all the stuff for packing it. put the packing strip on the box. melted the wax. but after melting the wax in the inventory. the inventory won't close so i can put the wax on the clip. its like it freezes. I can't do anything else. I have to close out the game.

Re: Dracula 4 - 06/22/13 10:50 PM

That happened to me a lot at start of my gameplay.
What I did is close the game.
Turn off my computer.
Then start the computer after 30 seconds.
Turn off all other programs - like my mail, my antivirus, close browser, etc... Remove all other programs running in the background.
Then I started the game again.

I occasionally will have some freeze ups later but nothing major. It happened a lot during the prologue though.

Re: Dracula 4 - 06/23/13 02:01 PM

This is happening to me also... I click the Esc button and it puts me back at the menu page.. I can go back to the game again.

My computer is defragging right now - so give me time. smile

I made a new profile and new prologue saved game. It is sent.

I'm not sure if this is the same puzzle but I am stuck on the metal door puzzle where you start with the letters IHS on top.

This is driving me bonkers and I could really use a save game with the same instructions that you have sent out.

I switched to casual mode but could not find any tab to skip the puzzle.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Re: Dracula 4 - 12/03/13 11:00 PM

John,

I have a different computer now and I think I didn't transfer the saves of this game (I can't find one) in my external HD.
I'm sorry - maybe someone else kept their saves and can help us.

Maybe - skip the puzzle?

Re: Dracula 4 - 12/03/13 11:11 PM

There are saves here
http://www.nicouzouf.com/?page=list&alpha=d

here
http://savegameserver.com/main/downloads.php?g_name=Dracula+3&g_id=115

here
http://mysterymanor.net/Atticsaves/index.php?act=category&id=22&start=4

Maybe one of them is near where you're at.

Re: Dracula 4 - 12/03/13 11:13 PM

I still have my saves, but they're unlabelled and so could be anywhere in the game. sick

Thanks, Jenny, but those are saves for Dracula 3, not Drac 4. smile

Thanks for looking MaG. For some reason I don't have the option to skip the puzzle unless I'm missing something. I switched to casual mode and still can't find any button at the top of the screen. Oh well.........

Re: Dracula 4 - 12/06/13 06:14 AM

I've just come to the end of the prologue and arrived in Whitby but am wondering if it's possible to run out of the tablets Ellen needs for her health.
I had to take several to get her health level up before I could ring the Museum Director from Lazlo's office eek

Does anyone know, please ??

Mad,

In Drac 4 -

Knowing items or combinations will help Ellen increase her energy or it might harm her.

Check the energy given by each of the medications under the prescription icon. Take medicines or food when energy goes low or the bar turns yellow.

Know what food or drink is bad for Ellen (sleeping pills and alcohol). It is best that only 2 (not 3) items are taken.

In this game you will not run out of meds if you take them carefully and eat fruits.
There are some drinks that you will pick up later that is bad for Ellen though.

Drac 5 will be different though. wink

Re: Dracula 4 - 12/06/13 06:48 AM

Thanks, MaG smile

I can only hope she will survive with the tablets I have left plus any food I might get chance to acquire then shocked

With no "manual" saving available I can't replay bits - which is what I would normally tend to do in cases like this scared

Cheers.

Re: Dracula 4 - 12/06/13 06:52 AM

My way to save - if I remember - is to open the save folder.
Make a new folder and label it with a descriptive title and copy the "save" file. Then place that copy in that folder.
The "save" file is the "continue" that you click on when you go to the main menu.
The numbered ones are the autosaves.
