Grey Matter Chapter 6 (fuse box)

Hi All,

Not sure how many 'old timers' on this site remember me, but I was quite active some years ago.

Anyhow, I haven't been playing too many adventure games lately, but I am currently playing Grey Matter, and my own 'grey matter' doesn't seem to be working too well! I actually started the game almost a year ago, and put it aside and am just now getting back to it.

I'm in Chapter 6 at the 3rd floor fuse box, I've sent the electrician away,and according to the walk thru, I'm supposed to click on some switch in the fuse box to turn off an alarm. I've clicked everywhere in creation and all I get is the message saying it's the wrong place, since that just turns off the lights! I even turned on all the 'hot spot' text, and that didn't help one bit. Can some kind person tell me EXACTLY where I'm supposed to click?

Hi Louis, I sure do remember you.

I haven't played this game, but until someone comes along who has, maybe the bottom of this page and the page that follows would help? There are a couple of screenshots that might be of use.

I too am playing Gray Matter; just finished chapter 4 after being stuck there for three days. I will be starting chapter 5 in a moment, and if you are still stuck in chapter 6 when I get to that place, perhaps I can help. Hotspots seem to be an issue with this game, as well as the tiny cursor, making some things hard to see.

Anyhow, good to see you, and enjoy GM. It's a decent game.

I just played this scene, and the switch was there and worked as expected. It's possible you haven't triggered it. Have you looked at the door leading to the graduate wing? Perhaps you don't find the switch unless you have a need to find it. Just guessing here.

The switch is in the upper right of the fuse box, just to the left of that red sticker. Hope this helps.

FYI.. thanks.. turns out I had already flipped that switch, but I had put the game aside for a while and didn't remember doing it! opps!
Now in chapter 7. (are there 8 chapters?)

Glad you got past that area. Yes, there are eight chapters.
