return to mysterious island 2

I cant knock the monkeys down in the sanctuary.and only 1 monkeys bar ia green.can anyone help me with this. plzz

It's been awhile since I've played this, but according to the walkthrough, the goal is to have Slugger and the sentinel both red at the same time. I don't think you're suppose to hit the other monkeys who are the allies.

kathipa, as lanlynk says in the spoiler, three of the monkeys have to have a full green bar from the start. If you only have one that's green currently, then you'll need to temporarily retreat and finish befriending the other two.

so where do I have to find them?

Is this the first or the second time hitting the monkeys at the temple?

If the first time - inside the temple and shoot only at the sentinel, the 4th monkey from left and Slugger the first monkey.
This won't help though - you have to befriend the monkeys afterwards.

If this is the second time (after befriending some of the monkeys) - when you enter the temple; you will see their pictures at top of screen.
Use the blow gun on either Slugger or the sentinel.
They might be in the same position as the first time.
You'll know who is the enemy - click on the monkeys:
- if they wave - they are friends.
- if they shoot at you - they are the baddies.

where do I go to befriend the monkeys . I am at a loss .I went to a lot of places but don't see them

Here are the locations:

Leonard: Climb to the bushes that were marked earlier (340 feet) on the cliff. [This is the area that leads to the inlet.] Turn right and see Leonard.

Amber: Go to the cliff wall. Get Jep to cross the laid pole over the brambles to the trulca plant.
Look up and Jep shows that Slugger and Amber is up the cliff.

Momma monkey: Jump to lakeside. Go to the beach-chasm crossroad, south from here. Go right to the chasm. Mina sees the destroyed vine. See a desperate monkey across the chasm. [You need to rescue the little monkey.]

I still cant get leonard to turn green he wont eat anymore and he wont whistle a tune help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Have you given Leonard all the paints that he needs? Did you paint Mina's picture (and finish it)?

You can also groom Leonard.

Is he really full, or does he just fancy something different to eat?

Leonard will whistle a tune for you if you play a few notes first on the ocarina (and then right click to stop playing). Then you need to reproduce the exact tune that he whistled, with no mistakes. You should then hear music, and Leonard is happy.

I did all that .. the gauge is orange and almost full

Have you tried cooking something and giving it to him?

From the walkthrough:

Use only ingredients that you have enough of. Don't exhaust your supply.
Check the journal-documents.
Seasoned salad: Combine water spinach + palm oil.
Cake batter: Combine water + flour + (sugar, honey or maple syrup) + egg.
Tart: Make the batter as above + fruit (oranges, trulca or blue dessert). Place in kiln.
Seafood: Cook fish, crawfish or mussel in kiln.

I think Leonard likes seafood especially. He might not like the salad so much (that's more to Mina's taste).
