how do you get into locker 311, to look around in it, and i do not want a save.

Have you tried to open locker #310 with the combination of 517 yet? When you use that combination and find out that it doesn't open, then you can tell Jacques that the locker is broken and he will give you some information that will help with opening locker #311.

Have you seen everything in the secret room including the poem, the good and bad books, and the butterfly collection? If not, I would go there again.

Help! Went down to basement to get professor's boots and now I can't find the elevator to come back up

If memory serves, if you start from facing the ski rental office, then turn around and face forward, there should be an elevator quite close by - it's on the lefthand side of the hallway on your way back to the circuit box.

Found elevator but now it's stuck. How do i make it move??

Are you inside the elevator or outside the elevator?

If you are outside the elevator, go back to the circuit box where you fixed the lights for Dexter and check out the elevator reset switch next to it.

I am inside the elevator. The door is stuck.

Try turning around and moving your cursor near the top of the screen; you should be able to see an up arrow so that you can see the ceiling. There's a way you can get out the top of the elevator.

I went through the top of the elevator and tried jumping across but I fell.

Try again, cmumm59. Climbing out the top and heading toward the open doorway is the only way of getting out of the stuck elevator. There shouldn't be any jumping across anything.

What open doorway?

See if this works:

In the elevator, turn around and look at the upper ceiling; click the square in the corner. Exit the elevator through the hole in the ceiling. Turn around and jump up on the wooden box on top of the elevator. The ladder is too far away. Stand on the wooden box to open the door to climb out to the second floor.

I'm trapped in the basement. Can't go up the stairs because it's too dark and the elevator is locked.

Did you try using the reset elevator switch next to the circuit box (where you fixed the lights for Dexter)?

It's been a really long time since I played this game so I'm quite fuzzy on the details. If this doesn't help, hopefully someone else will be able to advise you.

Tried the elevator reset but the elevator is still locked in the basement. Stairwell still dark despite light reset. Hopefully someone can help.

If you pull down the elevator reset - lever twice; it locks it. So try it again and do that reset only once. Keep us posted. (from UHS Hints).

Tried that but elevator is still locked. Guess I'll have to go back to my last game save and replay without touching the elevator switch.

Game won't let me climb the ladder in the elevator shaft to get into the library. What do I need to do to unlock that part of the game? I have the paintbrush, I've delivered the boots,opened the locker and flipped the breaker on the light.

Sometimes you have to go pixel hunting. Move your curser until you get an "up" arrow. There's nothing to unlock as far as I can remember and I just played the game. Also, you have to be in the basement in order to reach the stairs. Any other floor won't work. The stairs are too far away.

I left the elevator on the first floor but now it is locked and won't open so I can go down to the basement and climb the ladder.

Are you able to take the stairs down to the basement? I know there's stairs down to the basement on the level where Dexter/the front desk is.

If you can get into the library and into the duct it will take you to the stairs where you can climb all the way down to the elevator. You might be able to get the elevator to work by resetting it. The reset lever is in the hallway next to the breaker box.

I took the stairs down to the basement and got the elevator opened and climbed the ladder but the forward arrows stop at the top of the ladder. I still can't get into the library.

I flipped some circuit breakers but Dexter keeps asking me if I fixed them yet. Which switch should I be using? Did I miss something?

Library: If I remember correctly, you have to jump down to the library.
Ah here from Mac's walkthrough:
"Open up the door and climb into the shaft. Take the ladder in front of you all the way to the second floor. When you get to the grate leading to the entrance of the second floor shaft, you’ll notice that it’s ready to fall off, like somebody’s already been through the shaft. Hop into the shaft and follow it until you come all the way to the grate that leads into the library. Open the grate and jump down into the library."

You need to go behind Dexter's desk, I believe, to the place where Dexter is usually standing. Is that where you are?

The key is on the right side of the work bench.

The walkthrough by Norma states: "Go back to the Basement and open Jacques locker. Look at the letter from his fiance', read the Diamond Chart and the Immigration letter, get the BLUE MEDALLION."

Can I get a save for the ending? I can't find that stone I'm supposed to press.
