How did you get the attic door to open having the same problem?

Hi, Ziggy,
In order to open the attic door, you have to CLICK on the 4 slotted objects in a specific order. The "slits" do NOT turn. Just click on them in that specific order. Refer to Mag's WT for the solution (including a picture showing that order). I hope this helps you, and HAPPY GAMING!

Thanks, Sandy.

Hope that helps, Ziggy. (I removed the thread that you created that asked the same question.)

YAY! I just finished playing CAROL #10. It was pretty good, and MAG'S GREAT WT helped me to get through it without pulling all of my hair out. LOL ON TO my next game which will probably be MOEBIUS. Happy gaming!

That closet is never closed.
This closet is at left after you arrive here. With the exit door on your back.

Strange problem!! I am at the skiing house and have picked up the key from the fireplace, and I know I have because I checked, but it does not show in my inventory or maybe it does but I can't access it, I have 15 items in my inventory plus the guide and the right most item is the one I collected before the key (the note from the diary) I have tried to discard items form the inventory but this is not possibl - any thoughts as to how I access the key help woozy

thanks in advance 'cos I now you will have the answer and I will feel stupid when I read it...........

Well, don't feel stupid, because I have no idea what the problem is. grin Are there any items in your inventory that can be combined? Have you right-clicked on everything after having picked it up?

Let's wait for MaG or Rushes; they can offer further suggestions. smile

Have you tried looking close at the door it should open? It might appear then.
Also - did you get the clue about that key by solving the tablet puzzle?

Monbron, I think your inventory is full, and you have to scroll it. Look for an arrow pointing to the right at the right end of the inventory.

I went to the Santa Maria Church and the Church Museum and looked at all of the paintings and went to the pyramid and entered the numbers in 51432 but nothing happened.

Thanks, Mikael.

Richard,

- Have you read all the notes inside Carin's box at her studio?
- There are 2 views of the painting at the Church Museum. Did you you check the top view as well as the bottom view?

Did you press the buttons following the walkthrough picture - 1 to 5?

Re: Carol Reed 10: Bosch's Damnation - 04/15/14 01:59 AM

Mag What do you mean 1 to 5. I press 51432. I did all of the things at the churches.

Re: Carol Reed 10: Bosch's Damnation - 04/15/14 02:52 PM

Thanks everyone, problem solved, I placed my curser in the top right hand corner and then some (so that I couldn't see it) and clicked and voila the last item appeared I never did see the arrow, but I think it is something to do with my screen size because I had the same problem in Raven there were certain things that I could not physically do as they were off screen - my resolution is 1280X1024 and the size of my monitor is 19" square, perhaps I should be using a different resolution?? thanks bravo

Re: Carol Reed 10: Bosch's Damnation - 04/16/14 01:53 AM

Monbron, it sounds like you've set your monitor to a higher resolution that it allows. That's not supposed to be possible. It may be due to some screw up in your graphic card driver. You can try to update your driver, or simply lower the resolution. See if you can find some manual or description of your monitor, where you can see what its maximum resolution is.

Re: Carol Reed 10: Bosch's Damnation - 04/16/14 11:10 AM

Thanks Mikael, I checked my Graphic card and it is NVidia GeForce GTX650 Ti and the setting is called 'native' which I assume is the usual one allocated, I do have a very old monitor 'Acer IL1912' which is about 10 years old but seems to work perfectly (until now) but I have no info on this monitor, I could try a search and see what it throws up. think
